DS takes flight with Japan Air
Japan Airlines offers free in-flight DS service for First and Executive class passengers through August.
Transcontinental plane flights can be a real drag. Cooped up in a small seat next to crying babies and people who actually take up two seats for 12 hours or more doesn't always beget "the friendly skies." Japan Airlines is attempting to make those lengthy air ordeals a bit more tolerable by announcing Nintendo DS Lite in-flight service. Passengers seated in first- or executive-class seats will have free access to DS Lites, as well as the second Japanese Brain Training game, a game that teaches the English language, Mario Kart DS, and Otona no DS Golf. Each DS will be altered to exclude wireless capabilities, and the units cannot be used during takeoffs and landings, per aviation laws. To see which flights include the service, which extends through August, head over to the JAL Web site.
