Epic Games reveals Fortnite

lol it's like minecraft but you actually have a goal. I already approve. I know it's going to be on the xbox, but I would really like to see this on steam.

Most fun I've had this gen of gaming is with Rage... Borderlands... Fallout. So... I'm following this and completely interested.

I'm not a big fan of Tower Defense if that's what this is but the trailer at least looks interesting enough.

I really hope this is multiplatform.

Please bring this to the PC as well and not just exclusive to the 360. *Fingers crossed*

This actually looks kind of cool..... I love the comments below lol.....it shows you all play to many gritty FPS games and are now confused by this new game from epic lol.

Some of these comments remind me of the reaction to Borderands when it was announced. Let's give the game a chance.

@twztid13 How do you know you won't enjoy it when you have not even played it? You sound like you have already played the game, based on how you talk about it. All there has been is an announcement trailer, so don't judge the game so harshly based off of one trailer that is a minute long.

wow it's definitely different from what epic usually does good to see Epic changing their style Dice also did good with mirror edge excited for fortnight

i was excited about Epic's announcement, but WHAT is this? they have the WORST character models in every game they make. at first i thought they stole People Can Fly's Bulletstorm, and continued in that (terrible character design) direction (but not in name). there is absolutely NOTHING that makes me want to even try this. i hate their graphics, but many have gotten past that, so i thought, great a game i'll enjoy. nope. another horrible looking game, that has you building a fort in the daytime, to survive a zombie attack at night. that's extremely creative, Cliffy B (come up with that alone, lol?). a friend of mine does that in minecraft, and i'm sure it looks WAY better, even in 8-bit style. this, for a lack of a better term;), is an EPIC FAIL!

I can see this becoming a defend-the-castle game,looks lame though.

Hmm, something tells me that this is not straight survival horror. I am also sensing a humorous aspect to it. Could be fun.

trailer got me interested. that first 'creature' looked hilarious! hahaha maybe a satire for zombie/survival games? Epic games would be silly to have their next project after gears 3 to be some half assed zombie game so i bet this game will impress the nonbelievers. and by that i mean the ppl below this comment who doubt this game will be good

Jumping on the trend of post-apocalyptic themes, I would say about this game. I see nothing remarkably new.

Looks like one of those projects done in between sessions for other large titles, which became too big to be simply drop off. Not my cup of tea anyway.

Looks interesting hope their is actually dialogue unlike bulletstorm where there is more cussing then actually words.

Tower defense strategy/survival horror. Interesting, I guess, though I am not at all a fan of tower defense.

I really wanted this to be a game based off of the Samaritan demo they showed earlier this year. Unfortunately Fortnite looks like it has Kinect written all over it.

It looks promising..Epic did say it was going to be a game very different from what they normally make...so if your shocked don't say they didn't warn you.

i quite like the look of this, im not quite sure these cartoon enemies will be as menacing as i would like them to be, and menacing enemies are a lot more fun in a survival game, but the game looks great. I like that the big studios seem to be moving away from shooters.

When I first saw this trailer I absolutely hated it. Then I let it settle for a little and watched it again and I definitely have to give epic credit. They could have easily put out another bros in space game. Instead it seems like they have stepped out of their comfort zone to try something completely new. So good on you Epic!

Geezus... if it's not space marines its frigging zombies... sigh.... nothing new here people move along!

I like the sound of this. Video games really haven't touched on surviving the zombie Apocalypse, it's only been about combat. Hopefully this'll change all that

Props to Epic for trying something different. It's not another war shooter - that's kind of the point.

looks to have potential... the undead labs' zombie MMO is said to have just this sort of thing as well

This looks very creative and interesting, but this isn't what Epic is known for and I think they should stick to their original formula with games like Infinity Blade, Bulletstorm, Gears, or Unreal. Another one of those games would've been much better.....

WTF. Anybody else expected something like Unreal Tournament? Bulletstorm2? Something that isn't sh*t? I would've atleast been happy with the last one. I seem to be reacting too fast but this seems rather childish or just.... 'dumb' compared to the other stuff they do (stuff that is awesome).

finally we got two awesome survival games, the last of us and now this!

rofl the charcters are the exact opposite from epic games normal looking characters.

It looks like a it could be like Team Fortress and Minecraft combined. Could be cool
