GTAV PC petition reaches 100,000 signatures

@BryanParksSuper Honestly, just delete your comments. Did a PC gamer rape you or something? I know console fans hate PC gaming elitists but it's getting old, quit stereotyping us as pirates, snobs, or nerds (As if that is somehow an insult, this 2012, nothing wrong with being a nerd, the only people who hate nerds are insecure because they feel stupid in comparison). Sure those types exist but not everybody is like that. You know kind of like how not every PS3 fan is a sworn by blood oath defender of Sony, every Nintendo fan is below the age of 13 or a soccer mom, or every Xbox fan is a dudebro that only plays Halo, COD, and Gears.

@BryanParksSuper Of course the console version will sell better than the PC version. Like, it won't even be close. Not everybody has the money for a real gaming machine. Most people will settle for the 200$ Xbox and be fine.

@unreal_master But wasn't Max Payne 3 Gangs also on consoles? They could have just meant your gangs associated with your Xbox Live/PSN accounts will carry over to the console version of GTAV. Also, just because the previous installments all appeared on PC (which is not true if you consider the PSP exclusives and the DS GTA) doesn't necessarily mean that they will release a PC version this time. It is better to ask and get a straight answer than to assume something.

@JustArtificial that awkward moment when every game is available for download on torrent sites before the pc version......and I believe a lot of us will buy GTA V for PC if it gets released.....not to mention the far superior graphics on the PC ....and the mods

As for pirates, I know a whole office of people who rent one copy of a console game, copy it, and share throughout the office. Not a single cent of about twenty people making it to the developer.

@JustArtificial Because everybody is a pirate on PC...I realize more people do it on PC than console but still.

@JustArtificial You do know that PC's now-a-days are powerful enough to pirate console games, thus the "Pirating" excuse really doesn't hold a lot of water anymore for this generation.

@stailcookie Not everybody had issues running it. Not all R*'s PC ports have been bad either. Max Payne and L.A. Noire are great ports. Go play GTA4 now, it sucked at launch but they fixed it. The only fault it has is GFWL and that has nothing to with if it runs fine or not. The mods are great as well.

@stailcookie I had no problem running GTA4 pc... the only problem I had was that it released so late, everyone already had it for console, and nobody bothered playing free-roam online.

@Ernesto_basic Wii U has the potential to fix that but PC is obviously more ideal.

@OmegaSabre It's true that they did put out a GTAIV PC port, but it wasn't optimized for PC which resulted in a not-so-great experience. Rockstar's solution to this problem was simply to bypass putting out games on PC all together, claiming that it was too hard for them to put such massive games on PC. This was the jist of what they said when asked why RDR, the next blockbuster game Rockstar released after GTAIV. The trend seems to be that they are content with just releasing console version of games while forsaking the PC gaming community. While it is entirely up to them what to do, there's no harm in PC gamers letting the developers know that they are still alive and that they are eager for a PC version of Rockstar's next biggest game. As long as it all stays civil, I don't see any reason to really dissuade people from signing the petition or voicing their opinion on wanting to see a good PC version of the game; I just hope that anyone who does will leave the sense of entitlement at the door.

@dex3108 - I highly doubt they would see 100K as an expected sales figure. Generally speaking the people that sign these petitions are a minority. There are still a bunch of people that either don't follow this closely or don't care enough the join this petition. I fall in the latter category.
