Hillary Clinton Wants You to Play Pokemon Go, Trump Says He Has No Time

"I don't, but people are playing it. No question about it," Trump says.

What are you doing this weekend? Probably playing Pokemon Go. Hillary Clinton's camp knows this, and wants to use it as an opportunity to get you to vote for her this November.

Clinton's team has announced a Pokemon Go gathering to be held this Saturday, July 16, at the PokeStop in Lakewood, Ohio's Madison Park. The organizers will buy a lure item to attract Pokemon to the area for the duration of the hour-long event--hopefully the servers stay up.

No Caption Provided

Clinton is no stranger to video games. A picture released by the William J. Clinton Library in April last year showed Clinton in 1993 as maybe the only First Lady to play Game Boy. A 2002 New York Times story reveals she was particularly fond of Tetris in particular. That lined up with an April 1993 interview with Time [PDF] where she joked that she was "addicted" to Tetris.

You may also remember that Clinton led the fight against Rockstar Games in 2005 over the game's controversial Hot Coffee mod.

On the other side of the fence, presumptive Republic presidential candidate Donald Trump was recently asked by the Washington Examiner if he plays Pokemon Go. He doesn't.

"I don't, but people are playing it. No question about it," he said. "I do not. I wish I had time."

Current US President Barack Obama also enjoys video games; he even owns a copy of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. He has yet to comment on Pokemon Go, but it only seems like a matter of time before he does.

Pokemon Go launched last week and has taken the world by storm. Seemingly everyone is playing it and it's become the most popular mobile game in US history. In other news, two men fell down a cliff this week in search of Pokemon, while a man was stabbed while playing the game--in his quest to catch them all he soldiered on (and also bought beer).

Obvious clickbait, even by Eddie standards.

Errrr...Hilary Clinton hates video games

“Many games contain content that is deeply disturbing,” Clinton says in the video. “It is almost routine in popular games for players to spray other people with Uzis, to drive over pedestrians, to kill police officers, to attack women. In some cases, even to engage in cannibalism.”

“But we have 40 years of research to tell us that violent media is bad for our children,” Clinton continues. “According to the most comprehensive, statistical analysis yet conducted, video games increase aggressive behavior as much as lead exposure decreases children’s IQ scores.”

Then every single SoS and other cabinet members since the 80's should also be thrown in jail.
You can't knit pick, so we need to gather C. Rice and C. Powell and the rest.
How would you like to punish these hundreds of politicians from both sides? Firing squad?

@jsk1789: Research is a great thing brother, I highly recommend it:

Did other secretaries of state use personal emails for government business?

The IG report confirmed what we had previously written: Among Clinton’s predecessors, only Colin Powell (Jan. 20, 2001–Jan. 26, 2005) used a personal email account for government business. Madeleine Albright (Jan. 23, 1997–Jan. 20, 2001) did not use email at all, and Condoleezza Rice (Jan. 26, 2005–Jan. 20, 2009) did not use a personal email account to conduct government business, the IG report said. Clinton’s successor, Secretary of State John Kerry, told the inspector general’s office that he “infrequently” used a personal email account for government business “when responding to a sender who emailed him on his personal account.”

No other secretary of state maintained a private server that was used for government business. http://www.factcheck.org/2016/07/a-guide-to-clintons-emails/

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  • “My predecessors did the same thing, and many other people in the government.” 9 March 2016, Miami, Florida

Colin Powell used a personal email address when he was secretary of state from 2001 to 2005, and it is not uncommon for government officials to occasionally use private email addresses. Like Clinton, Powell used private email exclusively, but he *********IMPORTANT**********did not use a private server and government rules were not well defined during his tenure*********IMPORTANT**********. Despite this, the state department still ruled in its recent report that he did not preserve email records." https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/jul/06/hillary-clinton-email-investigation-fact-check

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Facts

From the beginning of the email controversy, many Democratic lawmakers have defended Clinton by saying she turned over more records than any other prior secretary of state. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), who defended her using this talking point then, continues to compare Clinton and Colin Powell. FactCheck.org found Schiff twisted the facts in his most recent iteration of the talking point...

Clinton’s case is not an apples-to-apples comparison to her predecessors for two major reasons: She was the only one to have operated solely on a private email server, and she has access to more electronic records than her predecessors.

Albright never used email for work. Rice did not use personal email for work, and did not use much email in general. So it’s completely misleading to compare Clinton to Rice or Albright, who didn’t even have an email account until she left the State Department.

So that comes down to a singular predecessor, Powell. He was the only other secretary of state to regularly use email — in fact, he used a personal email account from a commercial Internet provider.

Clinton has produced more emails than Powell. According to the State Department, Powell’s representative confirmed in March 2015 that Powell did not retain his emails or make printed copies before his tenure ended in 2005. Powell’s staff has said the account has been closed, and that Powell does not have access to it anymore....

But the inspector general also found the State Department’s “technology and information security policies were very fluid during Secretary Powell’s tenure.” After Powell left office in 2005, and through 2011, the State Department’s guidance for private email use was “considerably more detailed and more sophisticated.”

In 2002, there was a new requirement for email users to “determine the significance and value of information created on e-mail systems [and] determine the need to preserve those messages that qualify as records.” Rules for nongovernment information systems for the State Department were established in May 2004, toward the end of Powell’s tenure.

Clinton’s email use should be evaluated in the context of the clearer guidance under her tenure, and the various memorandums “specifically discussing the obligation” for officials to use department systems in most circumstances, the report said. “Secretary Clinton’s cybersecurity practices accordingly must be evaluated in light of these more comprehensive directives,” the report said...

The only person who regularly used emails is a singular predecessor, Powell. Powell did use his personal account on the job, and by his own admission no longer has access to the account he used then. So while Clinton did turn over more email records than he, she was the only one uniquely in position to do so upon the State Department’s request. This does not absolve Powell for not being able to locate his records a decade later, but the rules for private email retention and non-department email use in general were less clear under Powell.

********IMPORTANT********Further, Clinton was the only secretary of state to conduct her official business solely with a personal private server, which makes her case that much more unique and incomparable to those who came before her. We award this comparison Three Pinocchios.*********IMPORTANT**********

@stevhall88:
Thats all great and fine but my point still stands.
Powell did break the rules, many other politicians have broken protocol many times. We can not pick and choose.
There was mounds of evidence that we know of now that Regan and Bush Sr. not only knew about Iran Contra (which helped introduce crack cocaine into the LA streets) but they supported it.
Where's Bush's trial? Or how about we get into Dick Cheny's obvious conflict of interest when it came to Halliburton and the rebuilding of a country he supported being destroyed.
Is this Email thing shady at best?
It sure it but Republicans should best stop throwing stones in glass houses.
We still don't have a clear idea what the content of these Emails are and if they hold any evidence of criminal wrong-doing. My assumption however is they probably did but it wasn't harmful enough to press formal charges.
This whole charge has lead by and mainly investigated by Republicans and they couldn't stick anything too her.
It's a non-issue as far as i'm concerned
OH LOOK A CURROPT POLITICIAN!
Yeah we get it, it's been going on for a century now and her opponent has just as much dirt on his hands.

@stevhall88: The head of the FBI (a staunch Republican) said they found no criminal activity to charge her with. What is he supposed to do, make up a new crime just so people who really, really, really want her to go to jail can see her put there? But don't worry the House Republicans gave the go ahead to investigate the investigation of the investigation. Maybe they'll finally catch her jaywalking or not washing her hands after she pees or something.

@stevhall88: And I'm a long-time successful practicing attorney, not some professor slob, and I can tell you right now there were no charges that fit. You have to look at the case law interpreting the statutes. You can't just read the statutes and think you know what they mean and how they "fit" your fact pattern.

You'd die of old age before finding a single one. And since I live so close to your F'd up country, I'd rather not have a complete lunatic like Trump running a country that happens to own the largest arsenal on the planet. I'd rather have a sane crook running the most dangerous country on Earth than an insane orangutan who admires dictators and wants to build and giant wall. Think about it, only two walls like he is proposing have ever been built. Both by communist regimes. And you guys don't see a problem with that? Trump as President scares the living shit out of me.

@bdrtfm: too bad you can't vote here...I assume you're referring to the Great Wall of China which is revered as a world wonder and tourist attraction, and the Berlin Wall, which is revered as a sign of oppression? Same coin, different views. People have been building borders and walls since the dawn of man, how is it that Trump's idea is apparently insane or communist? All these socialist over here should be in favor of it consider that is a gateway to communism if you put it that way. I'm in favor of The Great Wall of America, as at least Trump is in favor of taking care of his own, before he takes care of others...which is the right thing to do. If there is no foundation, then how can someone/country take care of others? You can't build a house on sand my friend. We should all know that, and our democrat liberals promote building houses on sand.

Do yourself a HUGE favor, and read up on Hillary Clinton's ACTIONS, and stop being such a vagina by concentrating so much on what Donald Trump has said. And FYI, I don't like either party and was an ardent supporter of Bernie, so don't call me a "crazy right winger", because for some reason, liberals think that's some kind of witty argument to make everytime someone disagrees with them.

@bryanweary: No, he was prosecuted for much more. He deliberately and knowingly stole documents that were marked in various forms of "classified" at the time he stole them and he knew that he was taking classified information. He then deliberately and knowingly provided that information to his mistress and went as far as to hide the documents in the attic insulation of his home.

Absolutely nothing Clinton did comes even close to that blatant and egregious of a violation of the statutes.

And what's more, he only got nailed with a misdemeanor, because the interpretation of these laws is very strict and narrow. So all of the GOP/Teatrolls screaming about how she should be jailed for a felony is complete and utter partisan nonsense.

@DantheMan9856: Except almost all weren't marked classified at the time. You can't be convicted retroactively under the statutes. The two documents that were marked as classified at the time were, by operation of the rules, not actually classified because they were "call sheets" that only remain classified until she has made her calls with those diplomats. She had made the calls already at the time they were sent, and the only reason they retained the marking was because some slob administrative assistant hadn't removed the markings yet, which is done as a matter of course after the phone calls are made.

@cfscorpio: That's either a blatant lie, you are trying to make her sound better, or you don't know the full story. She not only was incompetent, she also let HER LAWYERS read all the classified documents. Not to mention the fact that she instructed her aide to REMOVE CLASSIFIED MARKINGS SO THAT IT CAN BE SENT INSECURELY (Sullivan writes, "They say they've had issues sending secure fax. They're working on it." Clinton responds "If they can't, turn into nonpaper [with] no identifying heading and send nonsecure.") http://www.cbsnews.com/news/state-department-releases-more-clinton-emails-several-marked-classified/.

She is corrupt/stupid/incompetent/elitist. Stop trying to sway people with nonsense, I bet you are the kind of guy that somehow thinks Trumps level of ignorant talk is worse than Hillary Clinton's level of destabilizing countries, the Iraq War vote which is the single greatest foreign policy catastrophe of the past 40 years and something she could have championed against like I don't know maybe Bernie Sanders. Americans were murdered in Benghazi on Clinton’s watch, Today Libya is a failed state. Clinton strongly advocated arming Sunni rebels against Assad, ISIS later captured Mosul, seizing billions of dollars in U.S. military equipment anyhow. I could go on for ages with this woman's crazy actions.

This b*tch thinks she is Queen of the country and thinks she is above all the laws, and because of the sheep who will melt whenever they hear someone cry republican is bad, nobody with a Dem. in front of their name is ever held accountable. This country really is turning to complete sh*t and both parties are acting as if they own the word republic and democracy and if people do not rise up and actually fight tooth to nail, the oligarchy/plutocracy will run blue through the veins of this country, while continuing to armor itself with bullet proof vests by lobbying and fooling the gullible public into going against their own best interests.

@iandizion713: Grow up. Go do some research, Hillary has called black people super predators who need to be "brought to heel" (that's the equivalent of calling them n*ggers), said she don't believe in gay marriage, destroyed 3 states/countries (Libya, Honduras, and Benghazi), 10 years ago she said Mexico is a problem, that their Government policy is pushing immigration, US needs to secure border, and illegals should be deported, but now she is saying to open the borders essentially for globalization (its on youtube, just Google Hillary Clinton says US need to secure borders, actually: all of this is fact and non disputable by super dumb liberals like I am guessing you are, and BTW I am a Bernie supporter who may vote for Trump out of spite, which can be argued that it will not split opposition and bring people together to fight against the corrupt instead of bed with them like with Hillary. Trump talks nonsense, while Hillary actually has blood on her hands and we know she acts nonsense, there is so much wrong with this woman I could go on for years).
