I totally agree, plus now there making KH 3D with an original story line (they "wanted to start fresh with familiar faces."), i mean that's like sticking your middle finger in the faces of Die Hard KH fans and telling them to wait. while i am interested to see how the storie is going to go, it'd be better to postpone that and make kH3. its not even like they finished putting the final touches on the 3DS so it can be shipped out.

im glad he is still wanting to make KH3. but we are gonna have to wait for that. :(

@Lucariomew But most people don't steer at it all day, by the four hours mark peopls most of the time get tired of sitting there and looking at a screen, But I have trouble with little screens more then big screens. But everyone has their own opinion. I do think they need to get on with the story and stop milking it with all these prequals the only one I really cared about to play was this one, but it will take a long time to make it, and when they do I'm sure it will be good and maybe better ther the first two. We will know in time.

@Morokoo true but, steering at a screen all day is no worse than steering a TV a few feet away from you. And even though its limited to battery power it still offers a few more game play options than the PS3 could never support. besides the graphics, non-cutscene ones too, are really good. so they just didn't see the point if putting it on a PS3. but i wish they would hurry up and make one. Like KH3 not that I'm complaining or anything.

@Lucariomew I see your point but the constant recharge of the psp can limit gameplay. And looking at such a small screen for a few hours isn't really good for your eyes.

KH re:coded is supposed to be out 2010, but Square Enix always change the release dates; so don't be surprised if its not out till holiday season or even next year (i predict January the latest). And its not for 3DS, just the normal DS/DSI, but there is going to be a KH 3D with an original story using KH 1 Characters. and KH 3 isn't going to be out for a while so people stop complaining.

@Lexaeus775 trust me i have played, and beat, the Japanese version and its way too much fun to be stuck at home than on the road or outside playing with friends. also it has to do with PSP sales vs PS3 sales, OVERPRICED (but they'll never admit to that).

@Lexaeus775 "why don't they put BBS on PS3" it severely limits the vast amount of game play options that they wished to provide that the PS3 cannot provide. mainly in the sense that they wanted another portable kingdom hearts game because there sales records go through the roof for a portable game.

i played the first KH when i was 7 i played the second when i was 11 .... it was an agonising wait .... i hope in comes out on the ps3 and not the ps4 :| ... its already been 4 years and no sign of KH 3

I hope he does make KH3 sometime before I turn 30. Otherwise, I might be a little embarrassed walking into Gamespot looking for that one.

I think they should make Kingdom Hearts Re:coded for the 3ds because it would be like kh1 and kh2 and it would be easy to use magic and other stuff put if they are making it for the 3ds i think it would take longer put it would be cool because its going to be in 3d and if anybody know wen the 3ds come out please tell me.

Hm..I've read some rumors and does anyone knows if Re:Coded will come out in 2010? That would be awesome :P

i guess when Kingdom hearts birth by sleep comes out itll be a huge reviews on gamespot but im telling the truth cus we waited 3 years for kingdom hearts birth by sleep. -_-

I guess this is the only reason I bought a psp for .. can't wait to play it . It looks really great and it was such a success in Japan so I guess it will be here too .

@davonas I didn't say it was un-cool, but I just got a little bored with the fighting because it seemed to be a little too slow for my taste.

a great series il be looking forward to this one gotta do sum catching up tho im behind as the last KH game i played was KH2 =( @ SquigleyG: i understand u dont wanna miss this game but itll only be for psp so ur out of luck unless u change ur mind cuz the psp isnt so bad. it has a growing library of games n ye u might be right that they arent all original titles but it has everything u can think of from gta to mgs to shooters to fighters to sports n some nice rps as well plus theres a new GoW on the way and KHs..

are you sure i thing kingdom heart 1 fight was cool real cool.

I have to say the story in kh 1 was much better but I just think the fighting in kh 1 was a little boring. But that's just me.

I'm really hoping for a console port like Re: Chain of Memories. As much as I want to play this game, the PSP is simply not a handheld game system I would invest in. There doesn't seem to be a good amount of decent, original games in its past and it doesn't seem to have much of a future.

so this is coming to the regular ds (lite) right and also the psp if not im going to be so pissed off

I can't wait for this game all i think of is getting this game i hope the ending of kingdom hearts birth by sleep has good ending because in the end of kingdom hearts 358 / 2 days was sad every one forgot xion that was the saddest part of 358 /2 days so can wait for birth by sleep and i hope the ending is good.

@FamourCalibur, you shouldnt have to play through a game on the hardest difficulty for the combat not to be jokingly easy. I will give you that the camera worked better, but no the story was needlessly convuluted, and Ive been playing jrpgs since the first dragon warrior and watch anime so im used to complicated storylines and japanese storytelling. Just because they didnt use Hunchback, which Im not particuallary partial to or Toy Story (which is pixar not disney, disney is just the distributor they have no creative control). This isnt a debate, I like action rpgs, KH2 is a not a great game just because you like it doesnt make it so. I bought the game at launch, I beat it, it left me wanting. As to it being the person not the game, your a fanboy so your objectivity is obviously non existent. Quick answer: i could care less who is in the picture or how cool you think your avatar picture makes you.

same whole reason I bought a psp. lol. @xxsuperbananaxx: I think it would be tight if they just put both Kh 1 & 2 on psp. It will probably be another six years before kh 3 or maybe longer. =/

@Bigbudd0045 Yeah, I do like the game, but obviously the reason you don't like the game is because you definitely have a different taste. Sometimes it's not he game its the person. Also, the story DOES explain so much, the biggest reason I and may others bought the game. Plus, drive mode is-wait a minute, did you even beat the game on proud mode, also did you die a lot. Anyway, drive mode is an excellent feature because it makes the character fell more powerful, but on proud mode you use it for healing if you're trying to save up on a boss. On Kingdom Hearts, I could never get used to the controls with the R1 and L1 or R2 and L2, I forgot, as cameras. KH2 corrected so many flaws KH had except for exploration, they only reason why KH didn't want you to just go forward. Otherwise, the whole "need old Disney character thing" is what they initially wanted to do, but the lesson for game designers is to listen to the fans. They were going to put Hunchback and Toy Story, but some felt Toy Story to be too childish, don't know why, and Hunchback plot is too confusing for young gamers. That's where they messed up, but everything else is fine dude. anything else you want to debate about, I can do this all day. Quick Question, who is in the picture in my avatar with the glasses.

@FamousCalibur I have no issue with the art style in the pirates section, i just dont like a one trick pony like the pirates franchise being used in KH. I love the first pirates movie, but the rest are forgetable, they arent classics. KH was about the classic franchises of Disney, Pirates is a classic theme park ride, but not a classic movie. They have so many franchises they could have used. Button mashing is inexcusable, there was no depth to the combat. The first one had a deeper combat system, the introduction of overdrive ruined the game. Again, poor level design was a big flaw. They didnt change the combat to reflect "Sora's maturity" they dumbed it down. The combat was better in the first one because it was more balanced. The Story was stupid and overly complex for no payoff, plus pacing was terrible. The slow start with Roxas was off with the rest of the game (though story wise i did like that part). This whole game boiled down to run forward button mash with no skill...cut scene...run forward...button mash...cut scene, the first one had more depth and significantly better battles. Nothing in KH2 rivals the Night on Bald Mountain boss fight in the first. You obviously love the game, and i know lots do, but I was hugely disappointed, hopefully KH3 will be an improvement.

I can't wait! this is the reason i bought a PSP! I hate to buy the ds just to play Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days to.

@Dragonslater9 A remastered edition of KH 1 & 2 would be nice, it'd probablly keep me busy until a KH3 is ever announced. I was a youngin' back when the first KH came out and now I'm an adult, but I still crave me some KH!

Wow, if they haven't even started KH3 and still have to finish two others it's going to take for ever. I'd hate to see it on the next generation of consoles. If they'd hurry up with Final Fantasy Versus 13 that would take the buzz off of getting KH3 but there hasn't been a whole lot of info with that either.

My brother and my nieces loved KH 1 & 2.

Sounds amazing. And it's nice to hear they are not throwing KH3 out the window so that got me pretty excited. Hopefully this won't be corny like KH2(although still a good game), and hopefully more dark like KH1 was.

Could you give us something about KH3? I don't own a handheld...

kh 1 fighting was boring.. he could use about three different moves..

@Bigbudd0045 The only thing KH2 was missing was exploration, and the whole button mashing thing is actually an improvement since this is an ACTION RPG, no need for strategy unless on proud mode. Also, Peter Pan is in BBS, and certain fans and the Disney Corp. asked for Pirates of the Carribean which was absolutely praised for such art form. The game was great overall, and the story explains so much, it doesn't end in a cliffhanger like the previous games. One more thing, the reason why the game's control is executed in such a way because it shows Sora's maturity and combat skills which were boring in the first game.

Bring on the grief...KH2 was awful. Beautiful game but it lacked the soul of KH1. I must have been the only person who liked the platforming elements in the first one. Also, combat was so easy in KH2, in KH1 strategically using summons in boss battles mattered, in KH2 it was run forward button smash button smash button smash..overdrive the end. And then situations like reusing levels too much, unimaginative level design, and the whole under the sea level was a joke. Also, tron is a cool world, but tron and pirates were just out of place, no need for a Pirates of the carribean level they could have just used Peter Pans world again (maybe they did its been years since i played kh2). The old school mickey world was cool, but poorly executed. o yeah, and the story line was a bit riduculous even for a JRPG involving disney. i hope they get it right for KH3, but id be amazed if that comes out before 2013. They havent even announced a release date for ff xiii vs. Figure ff xiii vs gets here maybe next year? At least a japanese launch, then maybe US in spring of 2012. KH3 spring of 2013, if square isnt too busy prepping final fantasy and kH and DQ games for the 3ds.

@fantasywar The prequals will most likely have something to do with khIII. even though most of them so far are crap.

@RyuuMasato, as long as its taking them to get VS done. 12 and 13 is a unreal look for KH3. Plus everytime someone is free form the VS team he puts them on another spin off project. lol
