Little Big Planet 2 delayed until January 18

aww............... I love this game!

Good I rather have a full complete game in 2011 then a sloppy release in 2010. Wise decision in my opinion.

@bradocki Not really, it just means that there's too many games coming out in Nov-Dec and they want to maximise sales by dodging the holiday rush (Black Ops, GT5 as well as LBP2 in November? Hardly a safe time to release). They'll use that time to tweak the game but I'm sure there's nothing drastically wrong with it, it's just economics.

i really do not mind, as usual i have Q4 overload as it is. I will have more time for LBP2 after the winter rush.

Guessing those who got a Beta key for LittleBigPlanet 2 are not fussed about it's delay then?

Not a big deal for me, as I didn't pre-order it. Most of my money will go into Kinect and a few games in November. Is anyone even surprised by this? This is normal for Sony. They always have delays that send games past the holidays and into the next year. I wouldn't be surprised if GT5 got delayed again as well. I've got better things to play anyways like Fallout: New Vegas and Kirby Epic Yarn (which isn't delayed).

They must really be committed to making it as perfect as they want it to be if Sony is allowing them to release just after holiday season. If they had delayed it just a month, that still would've been in time for Christmas, but a month after that? Hope they use that time wisely.

Im not surprised, there wasnt alot of promotion yet. Its ok though one last game I have to buy this year!

if i managed so survive a delay of 4+ years for GT5, i think i can wait 2 months for LBP2

Whenever I see the name Little Big Planet my mind tricks me into believing it's Little Big Adventure, that sucks.

That looks like bad news to me, there must be something really bad with the game for them to delay it to next year...

NNNNNOOOOO!!!!! LOL Bad news for LBP fans. I was really looking forward to getting my hands on the new level/game creator. Good news for other game developers though LOL> LBP was one of those games that was going to demand a good amount of attention this holiday season; wouldn't have been suprised if Sony had a whole PS3/LBP2 bundle coming for Christmas to up the ante. Oh well. Now the question is when is it coming out in January, because you also got Dead Space 2 and Mass Effect 2 coming out for PS3 owners. Pretty good trio of games to choose from.

ACK girlfriend is going to rage she bought a ps3 almost entirely for this series...

ouch, but at least it will save me some time to pre-order the game, because its one of my favourite platform games :)

This is actually good news 4 me. Coz i m saving money for raging blast 2 and Gran turismo 5. Now i dont have to worry about it. Now i will be able to buy it as soon as it comes out.

That's actually not so bad. There are a LOT of games I'm looking forward to this fall, so I don't mind spreading out the joy.

What a load. I was looking forward to this. Its not like they'll be able to fix a ton of bugs in two months.

I'm pleased with this. I'll get to save some cash for black Friday and pick some other new titles at great prices. Patience is a virtue friends :)

I had that "What?!" (thinking of Alucard's voice from SotN) moment when I heard of the delay but realized that delays, especially for games like LBP, are beneficial during the development cycle. No matter what this delay says to the rest of us, I still can't wait to get my hands on LBP2. Additional patience won't hurt, right? :P

Disappointing in a way, but also relieving for me to hear as well. I can have more extra cash to get the collectors editions of both this and GT5 now. It won't be released in a month packed with other triple A releases (GT5, Black Ops, Hot Pursuit, AC: Brotherhood, Fallout: New Vegas, etc).... not to mention the stuff that comes out next month in October, which I feel a lot of will get looked over unfortunately. January isn't a bad month for its release, even tho I wouldn't have minded a December release, which would have boosted its sales for the kids that want it.

Good to hear. Good to hear. Several games have been delayed (though very long in comparison to this) which gave the developers time to fix what was wrong or add more to the package. I'm actually looking forward to Little Big Planet 2. With this news means an extra game I can wait for and that opens up the door for more games that I want this year and last.

That's great news, actually. I would say that even though this delay isn't massive (which it doesn't need to be), it will undoubtedly be a ready experience by the time of its actual release.

Well, that's disappointing, but at least it's not a lengthy delay. Hopefully the extra two months will be put to good use.
