Dreams was first announced at Sony's press conference during E3 this year. Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida described the game to GameSpot earlier this year as "a next-gen creation platform" that has "much more" flexibility than LittleBigPlanet.
"In LittleBigPlanet you pretty much made new levels of an action game," he explained at the time. "With Dreams, you don't have to make a game. You can make a game, but if you're a painter, you can just create beautiful, painterly looking drawings. Or you can just animate the character. Or you can [remix] other people's creations."
Dreams is currently scheduled for release in 2016 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
