Madden NFL 25 sales cross 1 million units

Okay I have to add a comment about the game called madden. I am one that will get this game every year but I trade games I don't play so I can save some cash. Well this year I will be waiting for the PS4 version. I will not fall for the banana in the tail pipe trick and give up my cash or games for a roster update and a few rb moves. I also hope that EA does get some comp which will make them up there game. Hope the new gen version is worth it or that will be the last Madden game for a while for me. From what I have seen about the new gen version looks like they put more work into that version. We can only hope!!!

The game is absolute sh*t (my opinion you fanboy gods to gaming/Madden). Spent time getting all gold coins in the training to get a feel for the game only to be absolutely mauled by the Browns with difficulty set to Rookie in my first game while going with mainly suggested plays and defensive calls......right. Yes, this is the first, only, and last Madden game I have ever bought (see below) but I've been gaming since the Atari for god sakes.

Laughed the whole time watching the AI being completely unable to catch a cold on offense or defense. Overly complicated, not fun, and impossibly frustrating. Should have a divorce warning on the box next to the sticker that implies you must have an instantaneous ability to read a formation AND make the appropriate digital reactions via your controller on both sides of the ball. Not accessible and not going to happen. Good luck running the ball and stopping a running back check-down in the flat that seems like it goes for 15yds every time against you. Sh*t I tell you...

Cheers to those of you who are better and enjoy it more than I, but my copy will never see the light of day in this house again. It was bought for the Sunday Ticket, and for that reason alone, was money well spent.

It's not a real NFL experience if they don't throw flags for every tackle that touches the helmet or the sidelines.

Why did they do this to Barry,first he doesn't get a super bowl and now he's on the cover of the worst Madden game yet.Hasn't he suffered enough?

Those sales are horrible considering it used to do that DAY ONE back in the day. It was camp out just like COD is today. Now gamers could care less.

I'm curious to see how good this will look on the X1. With the X1's tv features I can have Madden and a real NFL game playing split screen, side-by-side. That'll be cool.

Maybe because its always the same game, with some new animations thrown in, and a updated roster. For the luv of what is NFL gaming, will NFL2K please come back! The National Football League needs to realize not having a competitor to compete with Madden is not doing Football justice plain and simple. The Madden team has gotten to lazy and to money hungry to actually care about the product that they have repeatedly put out.

I used to be a HUGE Madden fan and bought every iteration from the first Commodore 64 release all the way through the first PS3 release. Unfortunately, I felt the series stagnated and actually regressed at that point, and despite keeping my eye on it each year, have refused to spend any further money on it until the features they had REMOVED (like proper franchise and owner mode) were at least restored.

This year, I see that they appear to have actually restored the feature set to pre-PS3 status and am thinking about purchasing a Madden for the first time in quite a few years either on the PS3 or waiting for the PS4 version. Any thoughts from other long time fans who had become disgusted with the game? Any of you break down and purchase a copy this year?

Played this at a friend's and thought the run game was tuned in a way that gave me a good sense of differentiation between an elite running back and a middling running back. Where I think this game flopped, however, is passing the ball as well as playing defense. Still the same old stupid issues that have always plagued the franchise. It's time for some competition to keep things fresh.

Ok folks I usually am very reserved with my comments but WHAT THE HELL? I mean, I'm admittedly more a baseball fan (which unfortunately has been ruined in the gaming industry by the monopoly licensing) but I still watch a little football as well. I understand that football fans want to play their football videogames. The problem is I don't understand playing them for a full $60 a year for roster updates and slight changes in ball and running mechanics. The problem is the absolute monopoly owned by EA over the NFL but the biggest problem is all of us. As long as we keep buying a full $60 for slight changes they'll keep churning them out. Please talk to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers if you have any care for the quality of your football game and tell them to stop the madness.

It is the best football game ever. Roster updates makes this for a fun experience. It's unique.

Played the 360 version....Ballhawk sucks I hope it's not the same for Xbox One version or I will be breaking a lot of controllers this year smh...or sending it back lol

Like others, I'm hoping we see some competition again between EA and another dev (2K or whoever else) although it seems unlikely. Madden '13 was a good improvement and I didn't feel bad about buying it, but Madden 25 looks like a cash-in, and I can't imagine the next-gen version will be any better (remember how bad Madden NFL 06 was on the 360?). I think the glory days of Madden (04 and 05) are gone and never coming back, unfortunately.....

Well, I guess this confirms that there's still at least 1 million idiots in America.

well, I'm not part of the 1 million. the last nfl game i bought was NFL 2K5. I refuse to buy a Madden EA football game.

Here's hoping the NFL will switch over to 2k in the near future.

i wont be getting madden 25. unless so one give it to me. :-) i would rather play fifa14 or NBA2k14

Wow really, I didn't buy this year because the game IS THE EXACT SAME EVERY YEAR. Thanks for buying over a million copies so they know to keep doing it. Idiots.
