Major patch coming to Battlefield 3

Chat window while loading next map would be nice too, to pass the time..

@105506 pretty late for that. If you have put anytime into the MP you should be able to drive the jets and helio by now. You aboustly have to have some of the upgrades to be able to take on even a "crappy" pilot.

BF3 on the PC is great....that is when the "next map loads". Many, many, many pages on the forums at EA about the issue and lots of work arounds that don't work. My game worked fine up until the Nov. 22 patch....now....loads forever and never stops loading. Game plays just fine otherwise. It is total BS that you can have a working game and yet one month after release they break it and STILL no fix. Can't get my money back and can't really play the game as is. XBOX version is merely "ok". Controls suc though.

@Alexanderone Dude calm down the xbox 360 is a great console ! I know the PC's graphics are ten times better don't worry most of the console players know that the PC has better graphics I just think the controls on xbox 360 are easier.

Bout stinking time!!! im getting sick of the crap that i see on daily bases in BF3!..and they need to do something about the weapons..everytime i shoot at someone i feel like the bullets that im firing ain't real...they're rubber or something!

Playstation 3 Battlefield 3 Australian Servers currently do not work correctly and cause this game to virtually be unplayable due to latency issues and bad connection and not to mention EA servers have all disappeared since 1st Feb when they had a window of server maintenance.Please take the time to read this 60 page thread here << LINK REMOVED >> EA and DICE seem not to care about this part of the world as they have given no answer yet? We wait, impatiently.Lets be heard as a group of Aus gamers and post these guys until they do something about this obvious FAIL.

I want to be able to change my soldiers weapons etc straight after a map has finished, not wait till the next map has started to change or even quit the game.

Sorry DICE ...... BFBC2 is way different than BF3 .... i already played bf3 and i like it but the style and movement are not my type so i resign BF3 and i get back to BFBC2 .... :) , also i already feedback EA lolz and i found in BFBC2 a lot of people are playing it ??? so this is not only me with this idea :) thanks a lot

Add a way to practice driving air vehicles

I wish there was a way to stop people from waiting for the jets and helis on the respawn screen, jet&heli hogs not cool. Would also love to see MAVs run more quietly, so annoying having those things buzz around your head the whole match.

If only there was a patch to filter out all of the d-bags who enter a Rush game and completely ignore the charges like it is a f-ing deathmatch. Go back to COD you idiots.

@ tigerblue: Amen, brother. I wouldn't change a thing, except for the USAS + frags, and MAV surfing/roadkills. Those two almost make me wish for Call-of-Duty-style voice chat so I could tear into the douchnozzles who use them all the time.

@tigerblue abuse of the autos with frag rounds made most CQ maps distasteful with the amount of people use the weapon. took a break from the game most of my friends have over 3 thousand kills with the the damn things probably over 4k now. The MAV is retarded with people using it as a transportation device. Make it so you can't jump on it or run people over with it.

4 months for some of these fixes... the power of Frost Bite 2....

@buying1999 First Xbox 360 was made 7 years ago! Battlefield 3 runs on 60 FPS on PC! Real gamers play on PCs not consoles! MW3 was build for Xbox 360,And Battlefield 3 was made for the PC! Xbox 360 sucks!

I would love to see rockets from engys do minimal dmg to infantry. Snipers need to have more recoil they shouldn't be that accurate in medium to close range combat with a their rifle, standing, strafing side to side and not even prone. This isn't CoD. getting shotgunned at long range is pretty annoying too. the list can go on, but I know Dice will do what they want.

"guided rockets only tracking ground targets" what in the flying F is wrong with DICE? what's the point in a guided rocket for a ground target? DICE should start investing in official servers, 95% of the servers are Metro farms, 4% is either kharg island or caspian border and the other 1% is a 0 player map or a 200 ping server. I have the game for a month now and there are maps I still haven't played due to the lack of quality servers. Also, voice chat should be a priority, then there is that glitch where you can see other soldiers legs crossing a wall and then there is the M320 being recognized as buckshot on one of the assault rifles. The best fix they did was the short falls one, where you felt from a meter high and you died. Better get your backs wet and give this game a real good fix!

Please Dice, make it more like the No. 1 selling game of all time MW3!! Make it run at 60fps, make it fun, speed up the game play, make it not have a M A N D A T O R Y 2 gig install (well at least on the over priced internet ready blu ray player), take full advantage of the SUPERIOR Xbox 360 modern GPU and unified RAM and stop dumbing it down for the inferior over priced internet ready blu ray player to keep up in parity. Please DICE, no frag rounds in any automatic shotguns, no MAV surfing and no MAV roadkill. The underlying theme in BF3 is realism and MAVs are spy devices not offensive weapons.

Good to see more patching being done as this game is great....any ideas if any new DLC is on the way?

Good news! Seriously needed, gonna be very interesting to see how easily aircraft will be shot down now... If they can fix people walking away from being shot in the face with shotguns, that would also be welcome... AND LEVEL CAPS ON NORMAL MULTIPLAYER SERVERS!!!

Thank you. I've seen the update list and it's good. Unfortunately they aren't getting rid of the frag rounds but they're doing something with them.

Voice chat is a big issue for me, sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesnt.

Finally they are gonna fix those bugs and annoying glitches. If they really go through with all the fixes I think I may start to enjoy the game like I have with all the past BF games.

I just want the usas 12 with frag round sto get sorted out. It really has made the game unenjoyable for me and many others as of late.

@Spartan_418 bawls! I get the PC version is the version that gets the most focus (for obvious reasons) but I kind of feel left out...dammit, I guess it really is time to build a new gaming rig.

@YoungSinatra25 i dont think the devs are going to do that. This patch is just to game stability and fix balance issues players have been complaining for a long time. heck even my dx10 pc constantly crash playing BF3

And please, PLEASE, make Frag rounds less powerful.

They could fix some graphical errors. The game runs worse on my new graphics card then it did on my old one. The game will just freeze after about 20mins of gameplay. Even though it has no problems running on ultra.

It better change the whole experience since as of now I'm not impressed with Bf3. Bc2 is was and I'm pretty sure will be the better game(even with the patch)...Period. This is one of those times I really reall REALLY want to be wrong.

This is a tiny list considering all the problems this game is infested with.

"Attempting to Crouch (like Prone) will now properly interrupt Sprint", I wonder what they mean by that?... I hope they don't cut the animation where you go prone while sprinting and kinda "jump"to the ground, that looks and feels amazing, I really like it so I hope they don't ruin it completely stoping you when you go prone. sorry english is not my native language.
