Major patch coming to Battlefield 3

every time i log into that game my charachter data gets reset and i have to re-customize all my stuff. so annoying i've stopped playing.

I ain't playing Battlefield 3 again until a DLC comes for it once more.

@Draken_Domingo back in December they said they were going to nerf tac lights, they even showed before-and-after pictures of the reduced brightness, and it's possible that they have been nerfed on PC, but they definitely haven't been fixed yet on consoles.

Didn't Dice say "I think we nailed it" after this game was released, wonder if they still think that way?

I hope they get INCREDIBLY ANNOYING netcode bug they have that makes the game lag for no reason (yes my PC can run BF3 flawlessly, and yes I have done everything under the sun and my modem to fix it myself). The server side code they have for this game is terrible for me, I don't know if any of you have had it, but my god I hope it gets fixed.

@Spartan_418 I thought they already nerfed tact lights? I mean, I haven't played in awhile, but I remember it being in the last overhaul. I could be wrong though.

Awesome! I am glad to see that a company cares enough to fix their game months after it was released.

Some of these changes are welcome, but for some reason I'll never understand, they're actually buffing the SCAR's damage (the SCAR is already OP), and of course they're not doing anything about the tactical light. That thing is brighter than the sun, it should have been the very first thing they fixed.

Still no patch, but I love BF3!

Well, now i'm pissed off. Stupid PC dying on me, I want to play this so much!!! For those of use actively using Battlog, DICE frequently notifies us of patching and talking with us, and even hold monthly turneys. They are awesome fellas.

Good, USAS shotgun is overpowered

You know what BF 3 should fix? something that they haven't fixed since BF 2: Same time kill in Multiplayer BS. As in, you and your opponent killing each other at the same time which is not that realistic.

Fix the MAV...I hate it when I'm running and going to hold a position then a MAV will kill me...not push me off...just insta death.

It's good to know that Dice it patching what little problems they have with there game. I usually hate it when a developer releases a game with glitches then patches it later I'd rather release a fully working game in the first place but its more forgivable when it comes to multiplayer as they really don't have a way to test for all the glitches untill after release

The only improvement I would ever be interested is full removal of Origin requirment.But since that won't happen,still no BF3 for me...

I stopped playing some time ago. Might have to get back into it. Been busy with the Mass Effect 3 demo, and I'll tell you what, that's a hell of a demo. 2 decent sized sections of the campaign, and 2 maps for co-op play. When I can get on, I love the co-op. That is, of course when I can get on. EA seems to have a lot of server issues, but what else is new.

I hope they change the vtol controls for the F35, they are a fiery death waiting to happen.

Still haven't picked this one up. Good to hear they are starting to fix it up though. I really liked BC2; hope they can patch this one up and keep the cheaters out for good.

Nice to see the USAS 12 w/ frag rounds is getting nerfed. This update can't come soon enough.

Motivation is key to getting laid.

It's good that they finally allow custom squads, though with so many nerfs and buffs I do wonder if this patch could turn out to only add problems. Hope I am wrong
