Dear Bioware, If what is shown is a multiplayer spin-off it`s definitely release me from guilt for downloading the next single-player ME from torrents. Fair game, i think. Though, i still love you.

Geez, if this is released in November as well, November 2011 is going to be one epic month. Either way, I am really looking forward to this installment. The first two games have been great, but this sounds like it's going to be epic. I've also wondered, this whole time, what earth has been like, since we've not had a chance yet to see it.

@steelmouth Wow. Your enjoyment in a game went down because it was later released on a different platform? That is the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. You realize the original Donkey Kong arcade game was actually ported to the Atari 2600? Then moved over exclusively to Nintendo consoles? How'd you feel about that move?

i kinda lost my love for mass effect the moment it went out with ps3, then again i was never really a big fan of rpg

@Domnu_x I interpreted it to mean on a global scale - he sounded as though the reports merely referred to the coordinated attack on all major cities, not number of casualties. It shouldn't take long to wipe out one city if the Reapers are as numerous as we are led to believe. Then again, I'm mainly inferring that as being global due to the ridiculously long timespan. Yep, evil villains, just hold still while I does some sidequests. Don't do anything too irreversible while I waste time hitting on my new squadmates. Your interpretation does lend a new sense of grave danger to the trailer, however. I believe I will adopt it, despite the timeframe issue bugging me. Thanks.

I get to finally play mass effect (the only game on 360 i would trade my ps3 to play) is finally gonna be in my living room.

but think of this. The more platforms the game developers have....the more income they get, therefore the better production a title gets. Hence Mass Effect 1 was AMAZING, after its release it shortly branched out to PC gamers months after...the Mass Effect 2 was a triumph over 1 in many ways (not exactly all)...Now with 2 branching out on PS3 and revenues coming in from another system....how EPIC do you think 3 can be? Is that because game developers & publishers are making more money to fund more time and work INTO the game? I would think so...Unless Microsoft or Sony own the rights to any specific game I wouldn't be surprised to see more titles diversifying over many systems...although I hate to see authenticity of a system lost because just the name of a system can bring memories. Someone says Nintendo....you think of Mario, Metroid, Zelda or something right? Well, what do you think if both Xbox360 & PS3 have ALL the same titles? No difference except for hardware right? they will keep a few Exclusive blockbuster hits because they will not want to give up the rights to them for sure so Halo, God of War, Killzone, Gears of War and a few other titles will stay exclusive to keep a difference between the two systems...but otherwise a very large majority of games will be spread across all platforms. It’s a good but sad trade….

nearly every major game coming out next year is a sequel, where are the IP's, such as Uncharted 3, Gears of War 3, Mass Effect 3, Elder Scrolls 5, Portal 2, Prototype 2, Infamous 2, the only IP i can think of is Homefront

@mattg90520 Im thinking that if they add MP in the game the story behind it could be that it takes place on Earth while Shepard is gathering allies. The inclination of MP in the trailer is the human sniper firing on the invaders. It coud be a situation of humans vs. reapers, you never know. I too dont want MP in Mass Effect 3 either but it will happen it seems.

@bryandeth316 by the time this release comes out, it will have been atleast 2 years. ME2 was supposed to ship holiday 2009, but was delayed to Q1 2010. that being said, they already have the engine and should have the story mapped out since its been planned as a trilogy. any longer would be wierd.

@fetusfart18 ya it doesn't make sense sometimes. One time i posted something and got like +13 than posted basically the same thing a week later in a related article and got -7 I was like wtf ? lol

As long as we don't see any delays, 2011 is looking to be possibly the best year for gaming ever.

Sounds good so far. I hope that they aren't rushing it just for the holidays. I would rather wait 2 to 4 years and have it be epic than have it be rushed and have the series ruined.

The article on IGN claimed the trailer hinted at multiplayer in the game. I know a lot of people, myself included, are against this, so can anyone tell me of any inclinations toward multiplayer in that trailer? Seemed pretty straightforward

@ kiopta1 you are sooo right... we have no idea if this is even part of the game. that guy is not a "rememberable character" (maybe not yet). and we only saw the outline of so called shepard. it might not be him @ SHR_2007 you are totally right. ive seen many things about earth in the future and i really hope bioware makes this one REALLY good.

I don't know about Sean Bean, sounded a little more like Craig Fairbrass to me But regardless, I am certainly looking forward to this. I hope Bioware release some cracking DLC in the meantime - a year is a long wait

@dkdk999, oh I know that. Just every now and then, it really doesn't make sense. I don't think he looks like a dork through the entire trailer, just when he shoots himself up with meds and when he's aiming his rifle. He makes really weird and goofy facial expressions at those two times that just kind of bug me. Regardless, this game is going to blow minds out of skulls.

Why do so many people jump to (often wrong) conclusions from one trailer? Anyone here remember the Shepard KIA trailer for ME 2....this video could have anything to do with the ME story...it could be a possible ending...It could be a near the end event and things like how the reapers got to earth are explained. It could be a shocking beginning like in ME 2...we don't know. But so many peeps are already making assumptions and are either blindingly excited or already complaining. It seems like some want a trailer that caters to only them and tells the whole story so they don't have to play the game.

Oh man with Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, Gears of War 3, and many other games for the holiday season, I wouldn't be surprised if Mass Effect 3 got delayed until early 2012.
