Medal of Honor PC recruiting for open beta

OK its for PC, then why the fc#k does it tell me beta on the 4th on my PS3, is it so hard Dice to put PC only, ah but than again every time I finish a game of rush it tells me my team won when we lost, or lost when we won, some how it does not surprise me with Dice/EA.

@lfebaggins Yes, PC is great for FPS games, my PC can't play them very well though so I stick to a console. However I may build a gaming PC.

@Skullzak69 The PC version was impressive, you should check it out if you ever get the chance. I might still check out the PS3 version because I own a PS3 as well, but the fact of the matter is FPS games were made for PC.... except MW2. Consoles can keep that garbage of a game.

I was speaking to the idiots on here bashing the PC platform, and stating my opinion, along with some truth, about the platform. People need to remember their gaming roots. FACT, consoles were invented for people of casual tendencies in relation to gaming. Console games lack the depth of their PC counterparts, and are generally inferior versions. Console gaming was created for gamers who are generally less committed when it comes to gaming. PC games have higher learning curves, and require a certain level of time commitment to get the most out of them. Console gamers want to press a few buttons, blow some stuff up, and move on. PC gamers appreciate depth along with some intellectual stimulation. They are not afraid of a real challenge. I love flight sim's for my PC. I also prefer playing modern shooters on the PC as well. Online rooms are larger, in general, and there are not as many juvenile idiots to deal with as well. You may disagree, but in 'general', what I said is more fact than fiction.

can't wait to play the beta i'm not much of a pc player ! i rather prefer consoles but i'm planing to go out tomorrow to get a new pc with a good hardware !

Since it's free, and if it isn't too big to download, I might check it out.

It's some sort of crappy hybrid between COD and BFBC. I played the emo and was grossly unimpressed. Black Ops will be much better, especially since they took at crap like Commando.

@DennisWZH Lol looks like you are talking about other shooter. If the points you are taking are the ones that made it 'revolutionary', thats it.

You even have to make an EA account to actually play the game... Gee, wasting five minutes to make an account for something that's going to take hours and hours to download (on my computer, at least - blame my crap internet). Yeah, I think I'll just wait for the actual game to be released. Until then, I'm just gonna keep playing HeartGold and Monster Hunter Tri.

Pretty sure the open beta is just to test the servers, or so the theory goes on the forums. I'll be playing this again, see how well the changes from the original beta have been implemented. I'm hoping at least they give us the option to turn up graphics to max. SP graphics are epic but MP has been looking pretty drab (though the recent footage has proved me wrong in some ways).

Why push the open beta so close to the launch window? that just seems kinda dumb in a way, what if when the beta goes live a serious problem is found are they going to have enough time to really iron everything out? also I thought they were doing a beta for consoles too. What are they going to put for team battles, Terrorists, Nazi's, Zombies?? I think in most contexts throwing in Insurgents would be wrong but if the campaign has you fighting them then it's not wrong to include them as playable in multiplayer modes.

I'm waiting for Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad, I'm going to support Pc only titles, not like you idiots who buy console ports all the time.

To all the people bashing the closed beta, you need to look at the changes done for this beta.Recoil has been fixed and many many many changes have been made. Closed betas are used to help fix alot of problems.And they did just that.

Saw the gameplay video, I cant wait to try it out. Combat Mission looks very fun.

I won't be buying this game, played the closed beta and I was disappointed to say the least. I'll wait until Black Ops comes out.

see. EA LA & Dice heard my puny requests to include a gameplay where we could play as T^^^^^n and kill US Troops. I still remember when I posted requesting this, I got a warning from the stupid Gamespot admins. Now why dont you try and warn the whole EA instead? How ironic.

@ZedX-14Pilot You hit the nail right on the head, couldn't have said it better myself, but you forgot something...Another thing that makes PC gaming the best gaming experience is the modding community. Games like Fallout3, The Elder Scrolls Oblivion, and Dragon Age Origins can all be modded and completely changed from the original game to look and play 10x better than there console counterparts. These games never get old because there's always something new to add to them, Quest, weapons, armor, houses...etc, the possibilities are endless. PC games can be played how you want to play them...you can't do this on a console, everything is locked down, Most games on consoles you play for a few weeks and then lose interest, there's nothing more to see until some new DLC comes around. I can never go back to just console gaming, I don't even play them anymore except for Halo Reach. For those of you who don't know, head on over to ( www.thenexusforums.com ) sometime and check it out for your selves.

Good news although wouldnt hurt the beta be atleast 10days Also i dont get the controversy. How hypocritical the US press can be. I mean its ok to kill afghans and any other 3rd world country habitat yet but when the game give you the chance to play as an afghan against the americans is not ok? First of all its a game so none of this should matter

I will try the beta october 4 and then i'll make my decision to buy the game,if there's no helicopter in multiplayer i dont buy this game.there is alot of games coming next month.........

IF "MOH" will be a trash,then i will get ether FINAL FANTASY14 or GOTHIC 4 or FALLOUT NEW VEGAS.......and wait for BATTLEFIELD 3 next year............I still play battlefield 2 since 2007...

I am not single'n out anyone. But congrats to you being in closed beta. And if you think the game is crap, do what you were meant to do and tell the devs about it besides wasting your breath here. There are some people who would love to actually TEST a game and actually give feedback to the devs, and actually be honored when their reports(bugs) were actually heard and fixed.

If you have given feedback then I apologize for just that part. First off for those that given a report and are here why are you still bashing the game? You are just being an ass and should never had been in the beta in the first place. Here is how things unfold to me: "Hey devs can you fix this, this, and this? I experienced issues when in this situation....blah blah blah. BRB while I wait to see if these changes are fixed. [Marches over to gamespot]. Hey guys MOH sucks so don't get it. I was in beta and gave a bug listing like others but I have no faith that they will fix any of it so just move it along everyone and retract your pre-order if you paid already".

I just wish devs catch on to this and get actual people who want to test and give full fledged reports. I don't see any devs, if given proper details about the game, putting out a crappy game and loose millions. They can easily push the game date back.

Whoever takes issue with playing as the Taliban should never, EVER play Insurgency mod. I'm sure they wouldn't enjoy one-hitting Marines from across the map with the L1A1...

Lol Black ops is a thrash rehash Cod game which gameplay is so similar and stale as in MW2 with few "improvements" added that could come as DLC but come as fully priced game thanks to the regurgitated Bobby kotick and his garbage games. Dont tell me this game(MOH) isnt going to be epic because if it turns out thrash then you might as well put Black ops in the freaking toilet where it wil belong after a week of release.

@grove12345 Actually, I am quite a bit older than 25. I have a gaming PC, 360, and PS3. I also have been playing for more than 20 years. Yes, PC gaming isn't as it was in it's dominant 90's form, but, it STILL offers more complete gaming experiences than ANYTHING on consoles. Not only do games still look better on PC, gamepads will NEVER offer the same control of a mouse and keyboard, or serious racing gamers driving wheels, or hardcore flight simer's stick and rudder setups. All you have to do is look at some current multi-platform releases to see that they not only look better on a PC, but play better on PC's. Examples? Dragon Age, Battlefield BC 2 and any other shooter, ANY RTS game released on console is a shell of itself when compared to it's PC counterpart. It's not even close! Even the Mass Effect series is better on PC. ALL racing games are substantially more in depth on PC, and don't even get me started on flight sim's, because consoles will NEVER come close to their depth or rewarding gameplay. There are still plenty of great gaming experiences on PC, and in my gaming experience, console gaming has never satisfied me the way PC gaming has. You won't see the Total War series on consoles, or Age of Empires because consoles can't do them justice. In my personal rankings, PC is 1, 360 is 2, PS3 is 3, and the nintendo crap is a distant 4. Current gen gaming IS dumbed down PC gaming, and PC versions are ALWAYS better ;)

Let's get a couple of things straight... For the PC haters, it is the ONLY platform that gives a complete gaming experience, and it is the platform that paved the way for today's uber consoles. Without PC technology, the 360 and PS3 would not exist. Not only is PC gaming still alive, the better games for the platform SMOKE ANY console game out at the moment. PC gaming is for men and women, console gaming is for little boys and girls still trying to figure out how their peener's and who-who's work. Also, I am in the crowd that thinks CoD MW 2 SUCKS! I hate that arcade style crap. BF: BC 2 SMOKES that pile of CoD crap! Nobody likes fanboys, so a lot of you need to grow up. What I have seen in video form of the game, I like so far. I will play the BETA, and make an informed opinion after that. But, I welcome ANYTHING that isn't CoD. Ghost Recon is the best military series in my opinion. Graphics DO NOT make games great, gameplay does.
