Metroid: Other M, Sin & Punishment 2 delayed

This happens so many times it makes me mad! Why does it always have to be the GOOD games!?

i was thinking of getting other m first day. i may still do it.

Well, this sucks. But hey, it's not like they're cancelled or anything! As long as the games end up being good, quality products I don't much care i they get delayed a bit..

Honestly in the back off my mind I saw this coming.

Delays just show that the developers really care for its final product. This is a good thing. Zelda and Brawl have been delayed so many times and they were fantastic.

Is there a reason why these two games were delayed? Nothing in the articles mention this.

@ metalknight14 You're right, most of the Nintendo games delay (but the delays pays off a lot). Let's have faith and hope for the games "I believe that Treasure (Gunstar Heroes, Guardian Heroes, etc.)and Team Ninja (Ninja Gaiden and DOA) will work hard to make them blockbuster hits". :)

Aww... too bad. I guess we will have to be more patient.

well that kind of sucks. I smell a delay in Zelda now also.

Oh well, I rather have a delayed superb game than a immediate great game.

Meh, its for the better. Anyways, Photo Dojo Free! I think it will be bad but im getting it for my dsi and my dsi xl. Think Brawl. One of the best games on wii, brawl was delayed a lot. Hopefully Metroid will have that too.

As long as it translates into a better product, I'm happy. It doesn't hurt either that my birthday's in August :P

I firmly believe that a delay can only do good for games. I'm not going to be mad. :DD

Am I missing something or was Other M delayed to make room for Sin & Punishment 2's new release date?!

Kinda sucks, but I can wait a little longer for Sin and Punishment 2.

It`s release date was way to close to Mario Galaxy 2. Nintendo is spreading out it`s 2010 lineup. I`m a huge Metroid fan but this game has me slightly worried. I really feel like the whole first person switch is going to ruin the whole experience, and many previews have not been favorable of it either.

oh thank you Zeus! I was wonder when i would get time to play this game.....so many good games this year, and its not even quarter 4!

I'm cool with this for two reasons: 1) It is only right for a Metroid game to be released in August and 2) now I have time to enjoy Super Mario Galaxy 2 and other games without Metroid coming out so soon after.

YES. I was gonna be gone until the start of August so I don't mind the Metroid delay one bit.

Darn! I really wanted to play Metroid: Other M this summer. I guess I'll end up getting B2:BC to tide me over until Halo Reach instead....

Whatever it takes to improve the games. In the meantime, I have plenty of games on both Wii and 360 to hold me over till these come out.

No! I was looking forward to playing this game this June. I guess Team Ninja must be fixing some bugs and glitches to make the game good.

At Least Mario Galaxy 2 didn't get delayed. And Monster Hunter Tri should keep a lot of people happy for a long time.

This is definitely for the better of the games. I was one of the people that complained when the release dates were announced with literally two weeks space in between each release and it honestly didn't allow any game to have it's time in the limelight. Particularly Sin and Punishment which was sandwiched between Mario and Metroid. Now, people can all enjoy Galaxy 2, follow it up a little later with Sin and Punishment and then follow that up with Metroid in preparation for the holiday line-up. It's a good move by Nintendo and the first good decision they've made in terms of release dates for quite awhile now. :D

Only pushed back 20 days? I can wait that long for Sin and Punishment.

Well, the good thing is that we have more time for mario. Two months should be plenty! :)

A bit disappointed about the Other M, but hopefully it will pay off.

Remember when they kept pushing back Brawl? Look how great that turned out.

This isn't a big deal. Usually when Nintendo pushes back a game it gets delayed for several months. This is only another 2 months and if you ask me it could only be for good reasons. Zelda won't be out until either late 2011, or early 2012 most likely. Come on... they don't even have the subtitle yet and every Zelda since Majora's Mask has been delayed by at least a year from it's original date.

hopefully other m is getting pushed back for good reasons. the game looks great. maybe its just a couple bugs they gotta fix

I remember Miyamoto once said, "A delayed game has potential to be great, a bad game is bad forever." So take your time Team Ninja. Also, I was excited when they announced Earthworm Jim, but I became disappointed to learn Gameloft was publishing it. In case if you didn't know, Gameloft is notorious for releasing countless numbers of shovelware games on mobile phones and WiiWare.

Not suprising......Metroid Prime 3 was pushed to August...why not The Other M?

Oh well, it's all for the better- the further back Other M pushed, the more worth the wait it will be!

Other M looks very interesting, it kinda looks like it combines the recent FPS type metroids with maybe some classic 2D fun! I need to pick up the Metriod Trilogy they redid with wii controls too!

A two month delay probably isn't for making the game better. If it was going to be released in June it was probably already getting ready to be mass produced. I bet the game is pretty much finished but is being delayed for marketing reasons. It makes sense to put a larger gap of time between the release of Metroid and Mario so people buy both instead of having to choose.
