Microsoft promises 'tons' of Xbox exclusives

I am just going to buy both consoles and live happily ever after.

Hmmm...still don't get the point of being a fan boy. Haven't figured it out since the old days of the war between Sega and Nintendo when I as a kid would say I have both systems and get odd stares from other kids like I had to "choose" a side. I will buy both the PS4 and the next Xbox system. Probably not at once because I won't have the money but I'll get them both. Neither are paying me to be fans of their system, I'm not an employee for either company, so my only loyalty is to good games which I'm sure both companies will deliver. I would buy a Wii U if I felt it were an actual next gen system....which I don't. I guess I'll be the real winner while fan boys will continue touting loyalties without the slightest paycheck from these companies for showing it.

Microsoft's definition of "Tons" of exclusives = more Halo, Gears, Forza (niche market) and many crappy Kinect games.

Sony actually showed a lot of exclusives, Microsoft will show Call of Duty (if you live under a rock, CoD is multiplatform). Nothing changed.

PS. I'm a PC games so I'm not subjective here, Xbox just doesn't have many exclusives.

Sony had the better exclusives this gen. Wasn't even close IMO. That's what sets the consoles apart; exclusives. People are better off waiting a year or 2 before buying a system and seeing which console has the better lineup of exclusives. Don't buy either console on launch.

i love my x360 but after been burnt a couple of times i will never buy a console at launch srry

im still waiting on "Milo" to arrive on xbox360, the game where you can interact with a virtual dude and you can do so many things with the kinect. Is the "red ring of death" confirmed? Best bet is to buy a next gen console is Dec 2014 let the first ones roll out and stay put for the people who buy them first and hear the complaints. Before grabbing a next gen console i want to get an OLED screen for that WOW factor!

I've seen a lot of argument on both sides of the field but honestly...we haven't seen anything yet. I'll feel anticipation when I see something exciting. Sadly the best thing I've seen come out of the games industry this past couple of years.....were tech demos. Quantic Dream , SE with Agni's Philosophy, and Kojima had some impressive tech demos. Things could be promising, but until I've actually seen some impressive games (and gameplay footage), I'm not sold on either.

Yeah it's pretty weird, isn't it MS? People see companies like EA and Activision doing things to try to establish the kind of control you have over their lives and they go ape shit over it. But, then they are totally oblivious to the fact that you and Sony do exactly that, and just continue worshiping the little logo you put on the little black plastic box that the two of you make that both do the exact same thing
