Everybody seems to be attacking Temco they did what they had to do. Itagaki was not a model employee. he talks about he went under emotional distress when he's the one behind a sexual harassment suit which I'm sure Temco paid a pretty penny to keep out of court and under the rug. Not many companies would cover people like that. Plus he talks way too much crap about how other games aren't as good as his and felt to good to do games for Sony. Tekken, SC, VF have just as big if not bigger fanbase as DOA ( VF has better and deeper fighting system in my opinion) and I'm pretty sure the sales are just as good or better. Not saying that determines which is better but you shouldn't talk crap when you don't have the numbers to back it up. NG sigma had a good response and good sales on the ps3 but he felt too good to even take part in the game and past it on to some else. As a developer you should try and put your game in the hands of as many gamers as possible. Especially coming from a guy who says he wants to put his games on the most powerful system when the 360 and ps3 are equal in power. Yes I know he put DOA2 on the ps2 but there is no reason for the cold shoulder to Sony now. All in all Temco has proven there is life after Itagaki by already making a new NG and DOA. So I have high hopes and think these games will also be muilplat . So good reddens to bad rubbish.

The guy made some pretty good games. But his EGO was galactic!

Rei64 agreed! I totally agree, I wonder if the same person is making Fight night round 4 for EA. After all they did close the studio in CHI town(I know its not the exact same senerio). For instance (I know it was a buy out thank EA) but UBI softs:Farycry, was hot as hell literally the first game of its kind. But they still followed up with a FC2 neverplayed it dont even know if it was based off of the orginal. I agree with REi64,I mean really if they were to make another say NG3. If they dont have the brain behind the whole series its not going to do go at all(opinion maybe) . Itagaki did mention that there would be no more NG or DOA titles so o well. man all itagaki has to do is work for microsoft and do a new fighter game with bigger and better characters and a new ninja game with the same element in mind. this guy is smart and awsome so I hope he doesnt just stop where he's at and Moves on. DOA and NG are good games but its not about about the name and characters its about the game play and he did a good job doing that so lets hope he comes back with better games.

If he loves Microsoft so much, why doesn't he marry them? He probably will end up working for them or founding a subsidiary company that works with Microsoft.

He has a little bit of an ego we all know that and we don't even work with him...what do you want hes making you money . they may make new games after this but if it falters even a bit from from the quality and standards that itagaki held while he was at post then tecmo may as well start packing there bags .there next game, post itagaki, better be amazing because they may not get a second chance from the public , everyone will be quick to write them off, this could be a a great opportunity for tecmo or a great disaster

The game is out and according to the review looks like it should have stayed in the oven a little longer. Maybe Tecmo will release a NG2 (Black, Sigma) that will address the issues? Multiplat? Who knows this is a world that revolves around MONEY!!!

If they owe him money they need to pay him. Even if they guy isn't cool they should still pay him.

khai411/Angel There probably will not be a MG2 for the PS3 because Microsoft secured the publishing deal to prevent it from going to other consoles, which is different from a exclusive deal like Bioshock where 2K was the publisher and not Microsoft

no, NG 2 is not going to be for the PS3 becaus M$ bankrolled this game, however that doesn't mean that NG 2:whatever (think sigma) won't be for the PS3 and subsequent games won't be multiplatform. However, I don't think this is fully played out, so we'll see what this develops into.

this will definitely not help sell the game , at least not right away. I know it makes me even more skeptical of the game. But we'll see what GS says in the review. and I'll probably rent it.

shame shame shame Tecmo! The guy remakes one of the best games ever, and you bash him 3 titles later. Something is really fishy!! All in all you can never get enough of the bouncin babes on DOA i mean that assasin chick was fun to fight.

It is a shame that Itagaki-san will no longer be associated with TECMO, but I'm sure he will apply his creative energies elsewhere. On a positive note, any future DOA games will probably not have any opening songs by Aerosmith; to which I am truly grateful.

@ petervaht. I certainly hope he fades from memory. I have a personal distaste for his brand of arrogance. Tecmo says he was paid his bonus as part of his annual bonus, and they're still investigating the sexual harassment suit. He's just playing to his fans, trying to look like a victim, imo.

His team made good games, although I didnt enjoy any of them. As a person hes such a douche, pompous and full of himself, trashtalking competitors, absolutely misguided with serious self image problems. What happened to Japanese cultural trait of being humble. Rebels like these always go home and cry into a pillow. Glad hes gone.

@angelslide8 he had nothing to do with Ninja gaiden sigma, and even said it was no good and distanced himself from it. So, NG for the PS3 can definitely be done without him.

Well, we might not get any more NGs or DOAs, but his talents could be put to work on other favorite franchises! I honestly think this is great news for gamers. He'll be able to branch out into different avenues of gaming.

sooo, is ninja Gaiden II coming out for ps3???, i just read the review for it, and there seems to be some problems with the game, i was hoping they would solve them for the ps3 version, but if this guy leaves Tecmo, then there is not gonna be a ps3 version??????

The other is a fighting game. *slow clap* Bravo. *slow clap* Maybe if he gets his 1.4 million he can afford a hair cut. I'm sure the conversation went something like this. Tecmo "Stop bashing other games and systems, you're making us look like tools." Itagaki "I'm a ninja! You can't talk to me that way. Give me money! You owe me your allegiance!" Good for him, at least he stood up for himself and quit. Hopefully he finds a another job at another company, he is a great designer. This is quite a shock though.
