PS5 Is Best-Selling Game Console Ever Through Five Months

I do wish the article was a little more blatant in the semantics on the time frame. The wording implies it's the best selling console ever, and it only took 5 months, instead of implying that, in the first five months of a console's life, it has shipped more units compared to its peers in their own first five months.

The semantics are important because, sure, it's a fast growing system... but it still hasn't even outsold the Vita yet, and that's the lowest selling no-longer-in-production Sony console.

I'm gonna for the inevitable black ps5 and hopefully stable too. But honestly who cares about console numbers and game sales anymore unless you own shares from Sony then yeah. This fanboy console war crap needs to go away and the same topics been played by the same toxic sides of the specific for 8 years straight. I'm 26 and I'm about to turn 27 in 3 more months, I'm planning to get my cdls and save up that trucking money to invest and hopefully travel the world( If I get vaccinated in time), the inevitable marriage will come too( I still haven't decide which one of my 2 crushes I should get marry to yet).

Yall should just enjoy life while waiting for some great games coming from both platforms, because right now due to this pandemic crap, the good games are not coming anytime soon just yet. And we should invest our time on something else that is more productive with our lives instead.

Best selling over 5 months? . . .during the most turbulent economic time for centuries, at a time when the consoles can't possibly be competing on an even playing field . . .because nobody has any consoles to sell, so nobody can buy any. How wonderfully irrelevant.

I'm sure all those scalpers who helped the sales statistics are very impatient gamers who couldn't wait to play the games on their newly-acquired system.

@Terminator95: LOL. Both consoles are selling as fast as they can make them. So the company selling the most consoles is based solely on who can make them the fastest. Why would anyone be salty about a console selling faster than another? I don't have either one because they're nowhere to be found. But good for Sony. I'm sure the tens of people who've managed to buy one at retail price are ecstatic.
