PSN Is Down for Many, Causing Issues Across PS4 and All Platforms [UPDATE]

Update: The PSN status page is now showing all services as up and running. We'll report back if that changes.

Original Story: In what's hopefully not a preview of issues to come during the holidays, the PlayStation Network is currently experiencing issues across all platforms.

More specifically, users on all systems--including PS4, PS3, and Vita, as well as those on web services--can't sign into PSN, and games and apps won't launch. This has already been acknowledged by the PSN support Twitter account.

The status page shows issues for all areas of PSN, including account management, gaming and social, PlayStation Now, PlayStation Vue, and the PlayStation Store. These problems emerged this afternoon, a few hours after PSN's Black Friday sale went live.
