Revelations was released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC in 2013. The story is set between the events of Resident Evil 4 and 5 and features the characters Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine.
A sequel, the episodic Resident Evil: Revelations 2, came out in 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation Vita.
GameSpot's Revelations review scored the game an 8.5/10. "Resident Evil: Revelations is a thoroughly successful crossbreeding of old-school chills and new-school action," reviewer Jane Douglas said.
The newest original Resident Evil game is Resident Evil 7, which came out in January. A Resident Evil 2 remake is currently in the works, with the game being rebuilt from the ground up for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
