Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles sequelized on Wii

I can't believe or understand this. People want brand new titles, and here we are, a new title. Now there are comments saying, "Wii want remakes of past RE games like RE4 Wii Edition." So what you're saying is you want ports instead of new titles? If it is, I somewhat pity you.

I played the first one at my brothers it a great game.

I might buy this but ahh i hope they do something new with it, like something thatll just make it much funner to play, even if they keep the onrails formula.

I'd have rather seen them make a Wii version of Resident Evil 5... I know it's not likely without some MAJOR watering down, just based on graphics alone, but I had such an easier time with RE4 Wii Edition than I did with the Gamecube version.. I must be an awful gamer cause that game frustrated me to no end and I got nowhere in it lol

Capcom needs to realize that most of the people that were playing snes can now be what 25-40? While some of them might haed moved on to xbox and ps3's I assume many are like me who bought a wii because thay want to stick with their blankie. And I'm one of them Resident Evil 4 was great and Capcom is making huge mistakes not making a version Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter 4 on the Wii.

i hope that ythe game also covers resident 4 also.

Haven't played the first game. I'm actually pretty interested in playing it though. I do like light gun games, and the Wii is the perfect console for them. But with that being said, I wish that they would make a normal kind of RE game (doesn't matter if it's more like the older style of 1-3 or the style of the newer games), exclusive to the Wii.

It's not a port, but rather an original title and Wii exclusive. That is good enough by me. :)

if its on rails and follows the rest of the RE story line line UC did then i am totally in. RE UC was great for getting a new to the series player caught up so this could be good. mind you rails shooters are getting bit over done on the wii. Will have to see on this one.

C'mon Capcom. If you want to win back some fans, make an old style RE game for the Wii. Have the static camera and all. You won't need perfect graphics or AI, Just a new mansion style area, and new puzzles can utilize the Wii mote. But not another rail gun shooter. Even though I can't wait for RE5, I was really hopping for something more with the new Wii game...

At first I didn't think Umbrella Chronicles would work, but after playing it was actually good so hopefully this one will keep up the success of the first one.

wii=rail shooter RE and dead space. sorry guys, but this is just lame. guess developers are seeing that it's easier to create games like this on the wii and will still make the same amount of $$$. well close to the same amount of $$$. i own UC, but i'm passing on this. Yawn...and i was hoping for an excuse to play my wii again.

Ditch this and the disappointing Resident Evil 5. Resident Evil as a franchise needs to be overhauled. I'd love to see RE try it's hand at a Silent Hill 2-ish sort of psychological horror.

This announce is like a kick to the groin for any fans... Well, I was praising Capcom for RE4, but I guess I need to realize the bland truth that Capcom dropped the ball.

Aight i'll b getting it cuz its a Resident Evil title. But honestly if its not gonna b like Umbrella Chronicles & have RE2, RECV, RE Survivor, RE Survivor 2, & RE Dead Aim as the story then i will b dissapointed. Y have RE0, RE, RE3, & an all new story & leave out the best game in the series (RE2) & all of the other games? If im just killing zombies with no story then thats lame. I like Umbrella Chronicles cuz u went through the story without having 2 do all those puzzles all over again. All u had 2 do wuz point, aim & shoot. So i wanna b able 2 do that with the other titles that werent included in the 1st game.

yeah the first was decent fun i guess but i def felt ripped off after beating the whole thing in like a short 3-4 play session and it really wasn't even all that fun typical rail shooter bs. If your gonna make a rail game in this gen you could at least try to spice it up so im def staying away from this.

Ok so RE4 worked really well on the Wii, got rave reviews, and sold well. Capcom is going to make a spin off of a game that rehashes old storylines and uses a style of gameplay that is basically dead (except for House of the Dead:OK)......WTF?

I loved Umbrella Chronicles, and I am definitely looking forward to Darkside Chronicles.

I wish they made RE5:Wii Edition. sigh....

I hope they do a better job than was done on UC. onrails is far from what i would have asked for but if done right and something new to it then it could be good. at least add some good effects life permanent bullet holes ectect instead of a little splash of blood ect.

I like Umbrella Chronicles, but another sequel using the same old plot life sounds a bit too much. I was hoping for a real RE game for a change...

I knew it was going to be a sequel. Man, just as I was winding down from my RE5 anticipation too.

Why don't they make RE5 for the Wii? Or are they waiting for the Wii2 so they can make RE5: Wii2 Edition?

All right! I knew it from this week that Capcom will release a new game. But there's a problem, why Capcom chose Cavia to develop the sequel (let's hope that Capcom WILL KEEP THEIR EYES ON THEM, every detail). Plus the game will probably include RE 2, RE: Codename Veronica, RE 4 and a new chapter (just like the first game). "The Umbrella story will expand through the end, and then to begin the Albert Wesker's era". If is not, then a remake with multi control options, more weapons and the FT motor graphics (like RE 4).

How many ways and times can we go back to raccoon city? It was destroyed over 10 years ago. Time for some new material Capcom.

I'm a huge fan of Resident Evil, and the original Umbrella Chronicles, when it was announced, made me think about buying a Wii. Well, before it was more like "Resident Evil: The House of the Dead Chronicles" that is. A House of the Dead like spin-off isn't enough to make me buy a Wii, but a spin-off like Outbreak certainly would. I'm sorry, but i'm being honest, so i'm ready for the thumbs down.

A new chronicles game is fine with me. I loved the first. I would like RE5 on the Wii, though. Has anyone tried Madworld? It is damn good.

im happy i guess, i expected a normal RE but i like the Chronicles as well.Its just funny how people cried 2 days ago, when it was rumored to be a Veronica remake, and they cry when is not.Some people just need to cry and moan constantly, like they need to sleep and eat.

Ok a UC sequel is great, but why give the honor of making it to the makers of the terrible Bullet Witch?

I guess since Capcom is going to make a new chronicles game then Capcom should add classic RE1, RE2, and RE3 as unlockable extras in this game.

Wow...another on-rails lightgun game for the Wii. I know a lot of people that HAD Wiis. But don't know anybody that HAS a Wii.

UC was a good game, I really loved it, but as some of u have said, a new RE game or a CV remake would had made me jump and scream of pure happiness

I knew it. As soon as I heard about another Resident Evil game for the Wii, I just knew it would end up being another on-rails shooter. The 360 and PS3 get the full blown Resident Evil 5 and all the Wii gets is another low rent reason to point the Wiimote at the screen.

Yeah, I actually really like rail-shooters. I think this could be a lot of fun... and if you don't, then all you have to do is *not* buy it. Or i suppose you could whine your face off on an internet message board.
