Star Wars Outlaws releases in less than a week on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The open-world Star Wars adventure is priced at $70 for the standard edition, $110 for the Gold Edition, and $130 for the digital-only Ultimate Edition. The standard edition launches August 30, while the Gold and Ultimate versions offer early access starting August 27. Ubisoft+ Premium subscribers ($18/month) can also play Outlaws three days early while getting all of the goodies from the Ultimate Edition. If you haven't preordered Star Wars Outlaws yet, you have several options for physical editions, each of which come with retailer-exclusive perks. Here's a quick overview of the Star Wars Outlaws preorder situation, with more in-depth breakdowns below.

Star Wars Outlaws has four retailer-exclusive offers

$70 for base game for PS5 or Xbox Series X, Kessel Runner Bonus Pack and:

All versions of Star Wars Outlaws come with the Kessel Runner DLC pack, which includes the Trailblazer Spaceship Cosmetic and Speeder Cosmetic Pack. But four different major retailers have unique preorder bonuses.

Preordering the standard or Gold physical editions at Target will also get you an exclusive steelbook case featuring unique cover art as a free bonus. At Best Buy, preordering either edition of Outlaws comes with a $10 digital gift card. And as mentioned above, Amazon and GameStop each are offering in-game bonuses--these bonuses can also be found in the Ultimate Edition.

Additionally, Star Wars Outlaws Gold and Ultimate include three-day early to the game access starting August 27. You can also sign up for Ubisoft Premium ($18/month) to get access to the Ultimate Edition on PC at no additional charge starting August 27.

Developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, Star Wars Outlaws is set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Rather than retread the events of the Galactic Civil War or expand the Jedi mythos, the game instead follows an all-new character, Kay Vess, and her droid companion Nix, as they attempt a giant heist against the galaxy's crime syndicates.

Unless you can swap out the main character, absolutely zero interest…ever.

@patriotman: While i enjoy darker tones, she does seem like another goof - but she is more appealing to me than the dude we played in Jedi Survivor (?? i struggle remembering its name)

@patriotman: I bet if she had big jugs and was wearing hardly anything you would'nt have a problem with the main character.

@just_visiting: Look up the real actress that plays her, then look at how ugly the in-game character looks... It's like the MJ in Spiderman 2, where she looks more manish. Enjoy those woke agendas I guess.

@nickpeck36: Jesus, your complaint is that she doesn't look exactly like the actress who did the voice and motion capture? Are people just actively searching out ways to be offended or call things "woke" now?

Very much so, yes. Any excuse, even if it doesn't make sense. : \

@just_visiting: No - they can say that because anything Sweet Baby Inc is involved in purposely drives it that way.

Steam Curator: Sweet Baby Inc detected (steampowered.com)

Boycotted - around the internet. It would be wise for publishers to stop using these idiots.

@Utnayan: First time i've ever heard of this company and looked them up. They were consulted on several games, 3 of which were God Of War: Ragnarok, Alan Wake 2 and Assassins Creed: Valhalla, all of which were received favourably by both critics and players and i've never seen accusations of "wokeness" for these titles. I don't know about you but I play games for the gameplay part. If the gameplay is good, I enjoy it even if the story isn't stellar. Eschewing a good game because it has a black guy, gay guy or a woman that looks "too manish" to quote an earlier comment from someone else in it is ridiculous and honestly pathetic

@just_visiting: Alan Wake 2 / Remedy and SB Inc race swapped Saga Anderson (She was white in Quantum Break, black in Alan Wake 2) Which honestly I didn't care much because she had a small part in Quantum Break. However, I did care about how Saga Anderson at the end of the game says "white *********" where racism against white people is accepted but not vice versa. Either way, Alan Wake 2 failed to turn a profit and is only at 1.3 million sales. God of War Ragnarok failed to turn a profit and sold 50% less than it's original IP title. Valhalla had plenty of woke content in it. They also played directly into Gotham Knights, Suicide Squad (Both horrid games for obvious reasons) and have over 375,000 followers on Steam to specifically boycott anything they are a part of. Will it affect Outlaws? I am sure it will (To be determined how much) but I doubt anyone here has any faith in Ubisoft anymore anyway. That stamp of Ubisoft has people not even playing it. That's a sad deal when Ubisoft was awesome back in the Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow day's when they took risks. Or the original Beyond Good and Evil when you could have a female protagonist everyone loved because she was well written and non-feminist agenda based for some ridiculous shock value 1% play for "Woke" as it is today.

@just_visiting: There's a huge issue within the industry with exactly that, and for some reason getting rid of good looking women is in, because they don't look like the cinderblock activists. Then the community manager of this game stating they hate white males? Sorry, not the types of people I'll support with my money.

It's funny though, go look at Cal Kestis and his actor, then look at this character vs. the actress playing her. Why dumb her face down that much?

@mogan: I feel kind of the same... However, I do prefer her to Cal from the previous games.

The gameplay from Cal's games however made up for how corny he was. I dont think the Ubi open world bs is gonna do wonders for Outlaws unfortunately

@Zombie8814: Honestly think they did a quite a good job with creating a politically non-sensitive protagonist

@Zombie8814: What makes Outlaws “grrl power”? It just looks like a game with a girl protagonist.

Still sold and marketed like every other Ubisoft game. Will probably play like every other open world Ubisoft game, just wrapped in a Star Wars skin, such as Avatar was every other open world Ubisoft game wrapped in an avatar skin.

I always root for games, I do. I play them, why wouldn't I? But I would be truly, truly surprised if this isn't Starfield but a lot worse.
