I lol'ed at this...Why don't they just make street fighter four themed guitar hero accessories? Even more idiots would buy those.

it would be cool if the game was built into the tv so you didnt need a system to play it, but this is still one of the worst ideas ever.

This sounds awesome! I think I will just throw out my 42" LCD HDTV for no reason what so ever and go buy another HDTV for $2000 more!!

i would think they would start with Street Fighter toilet seats first to see how they sell before going with TV's screw that I'll stick with my sony Bravia LCD

@TheJamin I actually met HDTV's for my sony comment and 3d at home, not monitors which also was the first step for High definition and implementing 3d technology as a norm for the new era of TV, which 3d first came to canada or my future shop to buy just a few months ago for TV's and only recently is comming to video games also and movies at home implementing it in them, i look at monitors as a different medium as they are much smaller and computer use, but good point and i know what you mean

They tried this with tetris once, and every time you turned the tv on, you had to play tetris and get to lvl 10 before you could watch it.

@Excedra uh no it was not a $750 tv. it was for sell @ $1,499 but i bought it at circuit city last year in march when they were going out of business and paid $1,100 for it. Sony model #KDL-40W4100 go look it up on sony website.

ROFL. when buying a TV i would only look 4 features it offers n not the damn loading screen or stickers on it.. this is lame. Roundtable Concepts just didn't this concept right.

It´s kinda sad that most of the new LCD,LED and Plasmas still stuck for fast paced fighters. It´s really a shame if you have to buy you TV there ppl big hospitals or supermarkets buy there LCD and LED to play without delay.

Screen Burn in is definitely not a problem any more. While LEDs and LCDs do have their advantages (saving energy, etc) even high end models (240 Hz refresh rate) still cannot handle fast motion half as well as even relatively cheap plasmas can. And for the purposes of gaming that is key. I've had my Pioneer for close to 3 years now and the colours are still as vibrant as ever. Might buy a newer Panasonic plasma (for my bedroom) soon but wouldn't even consider switching to LED or LCD technology no matter how cheap it gets.

I would say LCD TVs run cooler than Plasma and do not have the worry of screen burn in. Video games have images that tend to stay in the same place on the screen for a long time which can be a problem on Plasma TVs. At least it used to be a problem. I am not sure any more. Plasma TVs also run hotter and use more electricity than LCDs. I think Plasmas tend to fade over time as well as they age. Plasmas do better with fast motions though which is an advantage in gaming and I think they have better contrast. I am sure the technology now days makes it really a personal preference as to which is better.

I would prefer to have the HDTV load up and prep its functions faster, instead of wasting resources showing some posters for eight seconds.
