The Witcher 3 Won't Receive PS4 Pro Upgrades

It's weird because I just purchased this game during the week 3 holiday sale for 15.99 which was like 2 days ago and I'm playing this game on PS4 pro on a 4k television and it's playing the game in 4k obviously upscale but regardless the picture quality and the performance of this game is incredible as it feels like 40 to 50 fps at all times completely smooth no frame rate or performance issues at all and it's funny because I had this game on Xbox one and it ran like absolute shit and also I've heard numerous people say it's runs worse on PS4 so all I can think of is that the extra processing power more specifically the 2.1ghz CPU of my pro is making the difference here since the game isn't patched to take advantage of the extra graphical power it's the only reason I can think of as the game runs phenomenal

CD Projekt Red have gone from hero to zero. A disgrace.

I'm not even going to bother with petitions, they never work. What matters to them is money and lost sales. Hit them were it hurts. If the dev cares, they will do it. If not, they will just have to suffer the consequences.

Well I'm, not supporting a dev that does not support its fans.

I loved the game but it was awful to play due the frame rate stutters. My copy became unplayable after the final patch causing me to delete the game at 90% completion.

If I don't get a PS4 Pro patch that makes use of the extra power to deliver better performance, I'm not buying any more of their games. I'm not asking for 4K, 60fps or HDR. Just make the frame rate playable and maybe deliver a smoother anti aliasing.

I can guarantee that the Scorpio gets The Witcher 3, Fallout 4, and Skyrim for exclusive "native" 4K updates. Lets hope they have 60fps options as well. They are single player games after all.

that's right they are focused on new games. that's what sets them apart from most devs today. much appreciation for this awesome team!

CD also said that Cyberpunk is going to be even more ambitious than Witcher. Just imagine the possibilities ?

cdp just focus on future projects..witcher 3 already took a lot of their development time..leave ps4pro for new unreleased (yet) game

Cyberpunk will take every ounce of effort from that team. They need to focus on that.

If you want 4k, you need a PC. It's that simple. If you don't want the complexity or price of a PC that's capable of true 4k gaming, then just settle for what you get on a console. You don't get to have your cake and eat it too unfortunately.

I can understand why CD would want to focus all effort on their next projects. After seeing what they did with the Witcher 3 I can't wait for Cyber Punk. That being said I feel they should dedicated some staff to creating a Pro version or at least out source it and just do Q&A for the development. The Witcher 3 is so dope it deserves any enhancement you can give it. A 2K upscaled to 4k ( Not just a simple upscale but using Sony's rendering algorithms which I feel will impress a lot of people) and slap on some HDR support this game will look real.

The load times are terrible on Witcher 3. If the Pro could at least address that, it would have my interest. Witcher 3 is the best game this gen so far for me.

Consoles, where hardware upgrades literally do nothing for your current games except cost more money. I'll stick to my PC.

i have way more respect for this team for this statement. Too many companies these days want a fast dollar instead of focusing all effort, money and brain juice on delivering something groundbreaking. Bravo

The best example this gen of substance over style.

Witcher 3 isn't perfect. In fact has some pretty depressing frame rate drops on console.

Yet it is STILL the best game this gen for me by a LONG way. Give me a great story, an awesome world, a well crafted set of characters and you can shove 4K up your ass.
