Ubisoft launches Tom Clancy airborne

Tom Clancy has written a lot of books, but EndWar, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon were not originally books. The Ubisoft development teams come up with many of their own stories and use the Tom Clancy name in front because people recognized it.

Cool. Another shooter by Ubisoft another solid franchise for TC.

It's just his name there. And stories that sound like Tom Clancy might have written them. I'm not making this up, this is the actual truth. Personally i'm so goddam sick of all those boring war scenarios. He must be making a very good living these last few years that's for sure. Someone should probably cash in this idea by starting series of horror games with Stephen King's in the title.

Medal of Honor tried to do a flight game a while back and it got canceled. I'm not sure if it's the right direction for the Tom Clancy franchise. There is room for more than the tactical stuff; agreed, but flight games are very hard to do right since the sim crowd craves realism and the casual types like Rogue Squadron or Ace Combat. Sims don't work on consoles and the casuals never fare well on pc since the competition is the home turf of flight sims. We shall see, but I'm guessing it will fall off the radar into never getting made.

I think this game is called "Tom Clancy's Firehawk" .This title was leaked last year from ubi.

It's nice to see Ubisoft take the Tom Clancy franchise in other direction as well as the regular Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell. But then again, those 3 series aren't broken.

Ugh, please no, the Blazing Angels games suck; why'd Ubisoft give something this cool to one of their crappy studios?

I'm from RO & i'm happy to hear that 1one thing is for sure Silent Hunter is the king of submarine games & Blazing Angles is a fun & arcadish game sure hope they will mix the realism of Silent Hunter with the feeling in Blazing Angels but in modern warfare !
