As promised, Blizzard Entertainment released the first official trailer for the upcoming Warcraft movie today during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2015. The fantasy adventure movie based on Blizzard's gaming series looks quite grand. Take a look at the trailer below.

Warcraft is directed by Duncan Jones, who previously made the acclaimed sci-fi movies Moon and Source Code. It stars Dominic Cooper, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Toby Kebbel, and Clancy Brown. The film has had a lengthy production process--the 123 day shoot wrapped in May 2014, and the original release date of December 2015 has shifted twice, to the current date of June 10, 2016.

@jindro: The CG is ok on its own. But when you mix it with live action, you need to do a lot better. Many older movies have done better. It's way too obvious what is real and what is faked. If done properly, they would blend together seamlessly. Just my opinion, but of course since i'm not a cheerleading fanboy, i'm a hater right. Internet logic

@mathrym: They will be there, the Trolls had there homeland destroyed and they were almost wiped out, Thrall saves them. So they will accept and join Thrall to get revenge.

@creepywelps: Will have to see, but will be pretty hard to show the world without showing them some. They might not have a role, but im sure they will still show them. But yeah, it looks to focus on the human and orcs parts of the world.

@mesome713: I think they'll hold back until 2. Introduce trolls, ogres, and dwarves, and high elves in 2. Night Elves, Tauren, gnomes, and undead in 3.

Oh hey, a youtube video, not that junk Gamespot tends to use.

Anyway it could be good, but so much CGI is in it kind of is a turn off. I get it though, I mean giant hulking beasts and other such, but it doesn't look as believable as most CGI. Who knows, story sounds interesting and Warcraft is an interesting universe outside WoW.

@mesome713: Maybe so, I'm starting to think that my opinion of it is due to the coloring of the characters and what not, has the same feeling as Avatar to me in terms of CGI.

@Smosh150 Some people don't like it just because of how it looks but it is excellent CGI, and being it is based on the original game instead of WoW i am even more excited :), it should be good.

@The-unDyIng: Oh no I get it, don't get me wrong I will end up seeing it regardless of the CGI(I can see it isn't bad, in fact it is quite good, it just looks strange to me). That and the quality of the acting, story, and length(Such as not condensing) is way more important than the effects(though that is still an important aspect). Either way I am still looking forward to it, enjoyed Avatar despite its CGI and story(Which was based on multiple movies/stories, but still enjoyable) so I will probably end up enjoying this.
