Zampella clears up confusion about “the future of Titanfall” showcased at Austin launch event

It might be a long shot.. But maybe this will be the first console game to allow mods?? That would be fun

It still chaps my ass that Microsoft paid so much money to make this an exclusive. I understand that a guarantied pay day is better than a new risky business venture but I can't help but feel Microsoft has alienated itself even further by being the big bully in the school yard. But then again I'm not a fan of most multiplayer games so.... six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Titanfall also heavily uses MS's server farm. It's a fundamental in its build design. Sony doesn't have anything like that unless the entire game is remade from the ground up. Zampella just says he didn't sell the franchise to MS, but it could easily remain on the 3 platforms it's on indefinitely or go full multiplat. His comments don't reflect the future either way. And if the game sells gangbusters you can bet your ass that MS will pay big bucks to keep it exclusive to MS platforms.

Even though I have an XB1, I'm not getting this game till it's $20 cheaper, if at all. I played the beta and it was pretty cool but it's not a game I see myself getting sucked into. It's good in short sessions. I'm more looking forward to picking up Infamous in another 2 weeks.

Now I'm confused

If they are smart the future is to make a PS4 version with a full single player campaign. With 6 million machines and counting, there is a lot of money that can be made for them. If they can do it by Christmas, they might just take the crown away from CoD or even... Destiny!

The best thing is that Vince just coldly put that rumor down, just as he has all other Xbot hopes and dreams. He doesn't pretend to give them credence like Xbox executives do.

Current X360 owners & quite possibly TF X360 buyers. Stay strong and hope because you will lead this game in sales but maybe the 1st to get dropped when it comes to importance of consistent patch work. Don't let that happen. Speak up and ask for "where is my X360 titanfall news and videos" from Bluepoint Games.

Even though we know Respawn has the final say since Pre-production began in or around 2011 for ps3/x360 then felt necessary to go forth with next gen consoles focus only to end up on (XB1 1year exclusive) and PC. X360 users the 2 week longer wait will let you gather notes. You X360 TF adopters are more important than one might think or say.

This just shows where the gaming industry has gone now. These companies have plans and prices for "DLC" long before the game is even finished. How about instead of already having DLC on deck at release you put that content into the game the way you should....stop raping us of our money for an unfinished product.

You don't need to justify your spending to me. If I want a fun MP game without dropping cash for it, I'll play TF2.

Point is, these type of games used to be free. Microsoft has learned that Xbots will pay for anything.
