Straight classic
Gameplay: what can I seay. This is classic. A few moves do the job egregiously. Yes, battle system is not as calibarted (you can pretty much get away with the elbow blow and the club) and enemies are relatively dumb - but there is something infectious about beating up in double dragon that I can't explain. 2 player mode is super fun and the final fight to get the girl is legendary
Graphics: it's 1986 kids - I love it. It's chunky and all that, but is stylish and character design is cool. Don't listen to those who tell you to play it in the enhanced mode. Arcade original is where it's at
Sound: straight midi funk, gotta love it. Especially the second level soundtrack it's so cool I still have it in my mind after all these years. Sound effect are massive
Value: 5 bucks guys - can't beat it. This is classic everybody should own. Yes, it's really short - Yes the graphics is chunky - Yes it's really simplistic. But it's classic cool.
Tilt: I am excited about this one. I really am. Maybe because I used to play it when I was a kid and it won't mean much to the younger generations. But I think it's worth owning nonetheless. Couple of things I was a bit disappointed about...
1) Slow downs - OK, the original slowed down, but here it's even worse? Whoever developed the port should have known better than that
2) Screen background is confusing - why not have on option to leave it black OR to stretch it all the way?
