I picked up fable 2 hoping that they took the original's awesome gameplay, great weapons, great armor, and great story and mesh it into something new. What did they give me? A pile of garbage. The graphics are fantastic and character models are great but the rest of the game is utterly disastrous. You choose strength, magic, or agility style attributes but whatever route you choose, you will always come back to hack and slash and maybe using some magic to reach far away enemies. So in the end you are pigeonholed to become a warrior. This wouldnt be all bad except for the fact that your character will always look like he is straight out of a renaissance fair with the wigs, the big dresses, the puffy pants, the big sleeves. Basically no matter what, you look like a pirate. There isnt an ARMOR system in this game, there is a DRESS UP system where you choose the prettiest outfits that provide no defensive buffs at all! Whoever decided to take out the armor system in an adventure rpg is a dumbass. The weapons are well done and each one is effective in different ways. The Magic effects are great to behold as well. The first fable let your character look and feel how you wanted him to, knight, mage, or theif. The end boss takes ONE hit to kill! I am not exaggerating, ONE hit and you win! If that wasnt bad enough, you are defaulted to using food as your quick use option on the D pad so your character gets fat and you cant easily undo it. I finished the game with an obese mage warrior theif wearing a powdered wig, a bandit shirt that was busting at the seams, and big huge bandit pants. Terrible game dont waste your time on it
