Hmm... Well they've already said a lot of improvements will be made, such as:
- Enhanced RPG elements
- More freedom with character skills
- Larger skill trees
- Powers will evolve several times, not just once
- Weapons are like the ones in Mass Effect 2, have a set list
- Mods returning, swap out different parts such as barrels, scopes (effect both the weapon's combat performance and its appearance)
- All ****s can wield all weapons unhindered now,
- There will be limited slots to carry these weapons
- Soldier can carry all weapons at once
- Adept, Engineer, and Sentinal will likely be limited to two weapons, three for Vanguard and Infiltrator
- Numerous endings
- Who you have in your squad and which allies you recruit greatly impact the endings that are available
Also bigger levels, more epic moments, etc.

I remember seeing that GI article, and do I LOVE what I've seen here. Especially the multiple evolving powers. If there's one thing I hope they do take from DA2, is a web styIe skill tree setup. That is so muh more flexible and dynamic than the linear progression skill trees.
They should also have XP earned in real time instead of at end of missions so that we can maybe acquire a crucial abiloity before encountering a mission boss. If resource gathering makes a return for ship and equipment upgrading, instead of planet scanning, lets have them be loot drops from battles, as well as "chest" items. There were some resource finds on planet locations, but usually very small. Lets have anywhere from 1500 to 20,000 quantity be found in chests or from loot drops so that we can accumulate what we need that way.
Something else they could borrow from DA2, is helmet options. Let us be able to equip a helmet, but either make it invisible (while still retaining what ever stat/power bonuses it offers) or haveit auto-hide when we're in conversation mode. Nothing is more annoying than being forced to choose between seeing your custom Shepard's face obscured that just kills the interactions, or having to sacrifice a useful piece of equipment with beneficial augmentations.
For party interactions I want to be able to chat with my team at any time while on planet, not just limited to a single designated spot that can only occur once. Also, lets have more party banter while we're just walking around the locales. Dragon Age does this so well, and while the ME team excelled in everything else (combat, graphics, level design, presentation, polish...) that is one area they could be taking notes from the DA team.
The only i am concerned about Mass Effect 3 is that they are coming out with Mass Effect 3 about 1 year after Mass Effect 2, i just dont want to see a rushed game. IndianaJones414
ME2 was in Jan 2010, ME3 will be Dec 2011, so it's much closer to two years after the previous game. And very likely Bioware was already working on ME3 right after ME2 was completed but still before that was on store shelves. Kinda like how some movie sequels are filmed back to back to create a trilogy, so the production time is greatly reduced.
I'm actually trying not to think too much about ME3...
Trying not to get my expectations ridiculously high...:P

Lol :P
My expectations for ME2 were ridicolously high, but somehow I wasn't let down on any of them. So I'll set them high for ME3 also
Same here, I am still considering whether I want to stay away from spoilers in the months leading up to the release. Although I doubt I'll be strong enough to keep that up xD.I'm actually trying not to think too much about ME3...

Im waiting on a hopeful pulling forward of the release date cos ill be in uni when its released and with gears being out I hardly reckon I will have any drive (or money for that matter) to purchase another game so soon.
You know one thing to realize the person that directed all the Mass Effect games also directed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire, so I can definitely trust him to make Mass Effect 3 great.IndianaJones414
Yeah...Casey Hudson hasn't let me down, yet :)
