But isnt Asari and Turians compeletely species of aliens. IndianaJones414

Though they resemble females, at least to humans, asari are non-gender specific, with no concept of gender differences. Liara says her species is "mono-gendered-male and female have no real meaning for us," and, if asked, says that she is "not precisely a woman". However, in the Codex it is stated that the asari are an all-female race. The Galactic Codex: Essentials Edition 2183 says that "while asari have only one gender, they are not asexual like single-celled life-all asari are sexually female", and according to Liara they also have maternal instincts. They are innately different from humans for asari can mate with other species -wikia

Oh yeah...I forgot that IndianaJones414 has only played ME2...

Hmmm...yeah, they don't really talk about it much in ME2 but Asari can have children with any species...kind of...

For Liara's explanation from Mass Effect 1, click here ...skip the video to 6:15 to learn how an Asari can have a child with any species...

Very interesting about the Asari, but according to Liara, her father was not Saren. But I do get it now about the Asari people.

Anyone else think it's gonna be impossible for Shepard to survive ME3?

I mean...it is the end of the trilogy...nothing says "THE END" quite like the main character dying...

Shepard saving the galaxy...stopping the Reapers once and for all...and surviving? How crazy would that be?

How would the galaxy treat someone like that? It's not like they could just give him a few medals, a big ceremony and even his/her own holiday; Shepard would just be too...I don't know...'God-like', I guess...

I think I'd rather if Shep did die or at least disappear at the end of ME3. Keeping him alive and saving the galaxy is just too ideal, and in a way it'd go against what Casey said about ME3 being "victory through sacrifice"

Bioware has said before that the Mass Effect trilogy would be Shepard's story arc which means that he doesn't need to die to complete and that they will do more after that isn't related to Shepard. Maybe the game will end with Shepard retiring with whom ever your love interest is through the series and Shep'll just be set for life.

Perhaps but she was only a minor character in ME2, I doubt we'll see much of her if anything at all in ME3.

How is that going to work in ME3 anyway. Kelly was technically with Cerberus yet we're with the Alliance again in ME3 so how is that going to work out I wonder?

What's the bet Kelly becomes some form of major political figure in ME3? I mean, crazier things have happened... Such as Ashley/Kaidan becoming Spectres. :P

She doesn't seem like the political type. Nevertheless if the Normandy was taken over by the alliance perhaps they've also taken some of the personal in service? Kelly didn't seem zealously devoted to Cerberus so perhaps she is still your yeoman on the alliance Normandy :)

Now that you mention it, that does mean the alliance gets access to EDI. Previously EDI held information that even Shepard wasn't allowed to access, it's a safe bet she has quite a bit of information on Cerberus operations and who knows what secrets in her database. If the alliance does get their hands on that it's an ace up their sleeve.

And in the stage demos, especially the one where he is on Earth, I could have sworn that he was Alliance fatigues and he was working Anderson.

I have a feeling that every one who served with Shepard will be loyal to him and be hunted by Cerberus too.

It would be interesting to see if someone isn't loyal to shepard if you didn't do their loyalty mission.

Some can still survive if you don't nominate them for any role or take them with you for the last battle

A traitor would be cool for the story. Maybe the Doctor was a Cerberus spy since the begining?
