So I know its still early days, but with the info leaks on Mass Effect 3 being released, it looks like Shepard's enemies lie not only with the Reapers, but also Cerberus...
I like having the board named Ceberus Command... But what are we going to do if this info is correct? :lol:

It's unbelievable how far the union has come in these years. Started off with something like 10-20 members if I remember correctly, and now we're at 660! Great work from everyone, and hopefully we continue to grow! :D

Jeez...it went by kinda' fast...and yet ME3 is taking forever to get here :P

Quite a bit has occurred over the last year:

We came face to face with the Shadow Broker in 'Lair of the Shadow Broker'

We got new weapons and armor as did some of our squadmates

We slowed the Reaper Invasion in 'Arrival'

Paul Grayson became a Human-Reaper Hybrid in 'Retribution'

We all played the guessing game to try and figure out if Bioware's new game was going to be 'Mass Effect 3'

We've got multiple trailers and tons of information about ME3

I'm sure the next 365 days will be even more amazing...

I'd love to join you guys in a game of TF2...unfortunately my PC is a piece of crap...

Due to the new method of officer recruitment, your previous applications are nothing (sorry, don't mean to make it sound that bad :) ).

You will have to apply again under these new rules:

• You must be a regular poster.
• You must be a veteran of Mass Effect, with at least two clearances of the game.
• You must be a veteran of Mass Effect 2, with at least two clearances also.
• You must be approved by the majority of other officers, not just me or a few of them.
• You must be at least level seven on GameSpot.

When you have all these, you will be tested on your knowledge by random Mass Effect related questions. Of course, there might be an exception if you contribute massively to our union.

I would now like to ask all officers to comment on these new terms and perhaps make further suggestions.

I do try to post as often as I can. I will be playing Mass Effect for the very first time on September 20th, I plan on playing that one several times. But I only had the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2, I was only given a comic book summary of what transpired in Mass Effect 1. I have beat Mass Effect 2 several times. I am currently at Level 13 with Gamespot. I have learned so much about Mass Effect, including the different species of aliens, characters, planets and other things about the whole franchise of Mass Effect. As an officer, I will continue to post regularly and come up with different ideas for this Union.

I'm afraid we're not taking on any officers at the moment.

Although I think some demotions are in order, which will in turn open up space for new officers. We'll have to discuss this with everyone soon...

TBH I think we should just discuss among ourselves (current active officers) about who should go. If we do a roll call everyone will be like "oh Im very active" when infact some are not lol :P

I am very complemented at your words of recommendation N7, and like Indiana I would also enjoy a more active role in the Mass Effect Union. However, as all can see from my post count I'm greener than the rolling hills of Ireland! Although I am learning fast if there is some technical knowledge I should require or greater familiarity with the inner workings of forums I might be too much of a newbie.

I'm not lacking confidence, just being honest. Either way, let me know if there is more that I can do, this is a fun union!

Whether its me or lewfa, it would be cool with me. lewfa seems like a great candidate too, or even the both of us would be cool too. I know there are things about Mass Effect I am still learning, but I have learned a lot just from playing and beating Mass Effect 2 alone. IndianaJones414

Hm good point. Haha I won't mention names, but I've noticed the extreme lack of activity amongst a couple of officers, too. But I suppose, school has started up in the states and such... :P

Well, both Indiana and lewfa are really active here, and to be honest, they've taken the ME1 and ME2 discussions by the horns. Which means they're breathing new life into an "old" topic, which a lot of seasoned members seem to be reluctant to do. Both users have my recommendation.

Some of our officers have excuses such as university and whatnot, and that's understandable. We'll restore their position once they are able to actively post again. But officers that have the free time and don't post.... well... :P

Being an officer has begun to take somewhat of a symbolic turn recently, a showcase of one's contributions to the union, and ME veterancy...  

I think you guys will be our last officers for a while, unless we get a huge spike of new members and activity :P
