Users are unable to view my profile, even though it is set to "Everyone" in Settings. Please advise.
*Edit* It looks like I fixed it. Please see if you can view my Profile. If so, then I have isolated the issue. There is still a bug, in this case, it's just different than what I had thought:
- In account setting Privacy Level is and was always set to "Everyone," as is User Comments set to "Allowed"
- Under "Site Settings" there is a new setting for "Who can see my profile and see my site contributions in the mini-feed:" This is relatively new, I'm guessing it was launched with the introduction of FUSE. This setting is set to "Just Me" by default.
What this means is that there are essentially two sections of account settings where you can modify profile privacy settings, and modifying one does not change the other.
I suggest either:
- Merging the "Blog" tab into the "Site Settings" tab
- Removing privacy settings for the blog and feed from the "Site Settings" tab and putting them in the "Blog" tab
This change should eliminate the issue of "Profile set to private" confusion I've seen throughout these boards. :)
