I am having the same issue.

Though at one point it worked, not sure what the issue was. I had thought my username had brought on redflags in the commenting system; I wouldn't mind having to change it if that would solve the issue.

Your case was... interesting. I've added you to an additional report but I managed to restore most of your comments.

The strange thing is, some of my comments are being posted, and some aren't, with no apparent difference between them.

I see the majority of your comments on the site, can you be more specific about stories where they've gone missing so I can look a little deeper into it?

I wrote a scathing comment and then it disappeared! How will I rekindle that rage again?! :( biggest_loser
Do you remember where the comment was? I can try and track it down to see if it got caught by the filter at one point. I only ask because looking through your history it seems that most of your comments are in good standing on the site.

@Fruitymachete I've added your info to the report that I'm sending the LF team today.

@s4dn3s5 Your issue was easy to fix, it appears that your permissions were removed at some point for abuse, I'll PM you about that later.

@burnedandfrozen You also apparently had your permissions removed, I'll PM you with details on that later as well.

@ PetJel I see that you tried to post a comment about 4 days ago in "Second PS4 controller image emerges" (which I made live for you) but the only attempt I see before that was on January 31st in " Random Encounter - F.E.A.R. " Have you been experiencing issues between those two dates?

Synthia

Did you skip over me? :(

I take it I was already on the report?

Been having this problem for a while. I'll leave a comment in a blog, come back later and boom, comment is gone. Just left a comment a little bit ago, refreshed the page, and it was gone. Tried a second time, same thing. God damit.

Have heard word from Livefyre and they have communicated the following:

_____________________________

TLDNR Version:

1. NoScript active in Google Chrome will interfere with Livefyre
2. If "Active Scripting" is disable in IE9, that will interfere with Livefyre
3. NoScript for FireFox, if a user has marked Gamespot.com as untrusted, that will break the widget.

Test Scenario and Results:

- Without Adblock and NoScript: The widget loads with comments and reply, able to post and reply and after page refresh widget still appears with comments in stream

- With Adblock ON and NoScript OFF: The widget loads with comments, able to post comments and reply and after page refresh widget still appears with comments in stream

- With NoScript ON and AdBlock OFF: The widget loads with comments, able to post comments and reply and after page refresh widget still appears with comments in stream

- With Adblock and NoScript ON: The widget loads with comments, able to post comments and reply and after page refresh widget still appears with comments in stream

- Note: IN NoScript there is an option Mark Gamespot.com as untrusted, so clicking that option and refreshing the page widget looks are changed. Print Screen is attached.

According to Livefyre this issue is being passed up to their product team, and they have stated that they will continue to keep us in the loop moving forward.

Extended Report from Livefyre

Google Chrome (Version 24.0.1312.52 m)
- With NoScripts enabled (with and without adblocker enabled), the widget shows up only partially and the stream is missing a lot of styling. I can be signed in, and when we refresh the page, I'm signed out and I can't sign in again. See attached screenshot.

- With just Simple AdBlock enabled, I am able to comment and reply. I also can refresh the page without the widget disappearing.
Microsoft internet explorer 9 - 64bit ( Version 9.0.8112.16421)
- NoScript is not available for IE browsers, so I am not able to test with that on.

- With SimpleAdblock enabled/disabled, we were able to post and reply on the widget without any issues. Refreshing the page does not make the widget disappear.

- Disabled 'Active scripting' on IE9 Security options, results in the widget displaying but only partially. You are signed out and can't sign in, and the stream looks a little strange as well (styling is missing). See attached screenshot.
Microsoft internet explorer 9 -32bit (Version 9.0.8112.16421)
- We used this two URL artiles: http://www.gamespot.com/news/nintendo-returns-to-gamescom-2013-after-skipping-2012-6404172 and http://www.gamespot.com/shows/random-encounter/?event=haze20130220

- Without the AdBlock Plugin: We were able to post comment and reply and we did not see any comment or widget disappear on IE9-32 bit browser

- With AdBlock On: We were able to post comment and reply and I did not see any comment or widget disappear on IE9-32 bit browser
Mozilla Firefox 64 bit with Windows 7
- For Firefox 64-bit release we used this site: and used Firefox Nightly exe installer for Firefox 64-bit release.http://www.firefox64bit.com/ Please Note: This is an unofficial build for firefox. I could not find the official Firefox 64-bit.

AdBlocking scripts do not appear to be the problem for me.

By the way, I have tested posting multiple posts with the same exact content. The first post does not appear when the page is reloaded, but when I attempte to make the second post, it cannot get through because LiveFyre deemed it as a repeat-post, e.g. "you cannot make the same comment twice".

I am getting a suspicion that it may be a thread display issue.

none of this stuff worked for me either.

i did notice that when i log in and livefyre (for whatever reason) does happen to show and allow me to post that AFTER i successfully post a livefyre feedback post and then click the gamespot icon/logo in the upper left corner of the webpage (to reload the website and return to the cover page), ALL livefire comments disappear.

Ok, so what and where is NoScript and how do I disable it?

*edit*

NoScript does not exist on my computer, so that's not the problem. Tried disabling AdBlock and it didn't fix anything.

Yeah, I'm also experiencing this issue, sometimes I'll be able to read the comments, and when I try to post a comment of my own, it'll just pop up a red x of some kind. Before, when we were able to see comments without logging in, it just wouldn't let me click in the comment box and kept telling me to sign in (even though I already was), but now I can't see comments whatsoever.

The comments section has completely disappeared for me. It isn't there when I use my PC or my phone. I haven't made any changes to the settings on either device that would've caused this to happen.

Still can't see mine. Probably an issue on the provider's end.

I'd also like to point out that that the cookie alerts at the top of the site don't seem to close for me...

I've been having the same problem lately.
My comments post fine, but I go back an hour, or so later and they're gone. My comments on my own older blogs have all disappeared as well.

If anyone can help, I'd sure appreciate it.

Yep - me too. I can see the amount of comments made however I cannot see the actual comments themselves. It seems that whatever feeds Livefyre into our profile is missing that 'app'. * edit * I can see all the comments now!

the comment section appears and disappears randomly. i was just watching the new battlefield 4 trailer and could see the livefyre comments below the video while it was playing and there were people posting messages about the trailer. so i logged in to post a comment or two and as soon as i logged in it disappeared. i noticed also that sometimes when i log in and CAN post on livefire that it will disappear after i click on the gamespot logo in the upper left corner of the website. i click that all the time to return to the cover page but now it always makes livefire disappear.

When I try and comment on an article/video, it appears to have worked (I can edit, delete etc), but then as soon as I refresh or navigate away from the page and come back, the comment has disappeared. My thumbs ups stay however.

This is the thread I'm trying to comment on: http://www.gamespot.com/features/the-empathy-game-6402148/?tag=Topslot%3BTheEmpathyGame%3BTheEmpathyGame%3BReadMore
