Here is the Title Screen for Cave Story that you can put in for the Box Art because this is a freeware game.

despa1r_fact0r

Yay, box shot uploader is fixed now. OK, this has been uploaded.

Just a couple of missing box shots:

Gall Force: Eternal Story MSX-2 Japan - boxshot

Final Zone Wolf MSX Japan - boxshot

Panzer_Zwei

These have been uploaded as well now.

These two games are also missing:

Side Arms - PC-Engine

Last Alert - Turbo Duo

Adventure Quiz Capcom World: Hatena no Daibouken - Turbo Duo

I also found a better pic of Final Zone Wolf - MSX. so I'm wondering if you could replace it. boxshot

Thanks again as usual.

Hmm, it seems only the Arcade version of Adventure Quiz Capcom World: Hatena no Daibouken has been uploaded. The Turbo Duo version seem to be still missing.

Also, two more missing boxshots:

Lupin the Third: Cagliostro no Shiro (MSX) - boxshot

Lupin the 3rd: Babylon no Ougon Densetsu (MSX) - boxshot

Hi, Dracula. I have a couple of little of things, if possible.

The developer of this game -- http://www.gamespot.com/mac/adventure/scarabofra/index.html -- is listed as "Semicom" but it really should be "Semicolon Software". This is the official website: http://www.semicolon.com/Scarab.html

Could these two versions of the same game be cross-referenced?:
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/nanosaur2hatchling/index.html
http://www.gamespot.com/mac/action/nanosaur2hatchling/index.html

Thanks again for all your hard work on the GS Collection!

That's great, thank you.

But why this inconsistency concerning the spelling: Wonderboy in Monster Land for the Arcade version, Wonder Boy in Monster Land for the SMS, and finally Wonderboy in Monsterland for the C64 game? I thought these were all different ports of the same game.

Oh well... maybe I'm just splitting hairs, dunno. :P

Yes, the spelling from the boxshots and the starting screens is always with two words, both capitalized: Wonder Boy in Monster Land. This applies to all sequels as well (Wonder Boy in Monster World etc.).

http://www.gamespot.com/579264

Re: World of Goo - I asked on the developer's forum about whether there are boxed versions for Mac, but haven't gotten an answer yet. The boxed version listing at Amazon.com says it is both PC/Mac. I'll let you know when I get a definitive answer.

Re: Rune for Mac's developer - There's some inconsistency in GS's Mac listings as to who gets credited as developer, so I'm not sure how to answer. The most common way (and the one that makes the most sense to me :) ) is to list the developer of the original game. While the Mac "development" is usually contracted out to a porting house to translate the code, they don't really have anything to do with the creative aspects of the game. (Also, the front of a Mac game box usually shows the original developer's logo next to the Mac publisher's logo; the Mac porting house's logo rarely gets included ;) ). So for Rune the original developer is Human Head Studios. If you prefer to list the Mac porting house, that would be Westlake Interactive.

Thanks!

I just heard from the World of Goo devs -- current boxes are Windows only, but they're doing a second run soon for PC/Mac hybrid boxes.

Any "free game to play" or "free game" needs to be sent along to the guys at gsfiles at gamespot dot com as they would be the ones to decide on adding them or not.

Hello again, Dracula. Two more Mac entries for GS...

Title: Secret of the Lost Cavern
Platform: Mac
Publisher: Coladia
Developer: Kheops Studio
Genre: Adventure
Number of Players: 1
US Release Date: November, 2008
Official website: http://www.coladiagames.com
This game is currently download only; the publisher told me they're working on boxed editions but don't have a release date. This is the same game as Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern (PC) but I don't know if you can cross-ref since the titles are different?

Title: Star Trek Elite Force II
Platform: Mac
Publisher: Aspyr
Developer: Ritual Ent.
Genre: Sci-Fi First-Person Shooter
Number of Players: 1-32 (same online modes as PC)
US Release Date: November, 2003
ESRB: Teen
Proof: news article, Amazon.com product page
GS page for PC version: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/startrekeliteforce2/index.html

...and a couple updates/correction...

For Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (Mac), Could you change the developer to Raven Software, which is correct according to my box and Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (PC). The Mac listing mistakenly shows Ritual Ent. as developer -- it must have been confused with the sequel EFII, which was developed by Ritual.

And for Tomb Raider Chronicles (Mac), Could you add Core Design Ltd. as the developer and cross-reference it to the PC version: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/tombraiderchronicles/index.html.

Thanks! :)

The pic seems to be good now. Before it was just showing on the main list but not everywhere else.

Also, here are two more games that were missing their boxshot:

Athena Arcade - boxshotThis game (the same version) is listed twice in the database BTW, probably an error.

Psycho Soldier Arcade - boxshot

By the way I've been meaning to ask: Is it useful to post big boxshots? Like if you are able to see the big size in the site if you click on the picture or something. I'm asking because If you do, then it would be more helpful for the site to post bigger boxshots pics.

Yeah, you can give me a link to a big shot and I will add that as well as resizing it for the smaller box shot.
