I'm getting a similar problem but for the dark version. I get this on the dark version but the light version is normal.

Same problem here. Thought it was a problem with Chrome so I switched to Firefox which was automatically set to the light layout. Switched it to the dark layout and the page changed to what the image shows above.
A tenuous update: it "seems" to be fixed. In 5 minutes I could land on something that'll bust it again but for the moment it looks like we've got our dark theme back and I can resume being able to make out the words on the page.
Hello I am new. Not sure if this is the right place to post about this, but I'm unable to make topics. I tried to make a topic about it, believe me.
It keeps saying I've made a topic recently and can't make another. But I have made not a single topic since registering. Sorry if this is the wrong place!

You are only allowed to create one topic per 24 hours, until you have created 5 topics.
Occasionally topics don't appear immediately. So I believe what happened is that you tried to make another one right away, and it didn't let you because it detected the old delayed topic. I see it on OT now though, so I guess it's fixed.
Not sure if this was addressed before or not, but on a Chrome (32 bit version) sometimes the individual threads just...crash(?). Probably not the correct word for it.
They become laggy as if it's trying to load stuff (which is a common issue with Chrome) but it does it in threads in which there are no major items to load. The threads becomes almost non-responsive (scrolling has to be done with the keyboard, writing anything has a major input delay, posting/editing/etc buttons and respective functions also become barely functional). The same threads work fine on other browsers.
Maybe it's just Chrome being Chrome but on other websites that only tends to happen in pages with many pics/gifs/videos and even then after 5-6 seconds everything works as it should (no lag, no bugs, nothing), which is not the case with the GS forums. Once a thread stops working on Chrome, it stops working period. Changing the page won't fix it, reloading won't fix it, clearing the cache won't fix, posting in it won't fix it.... It's pretty odd really.

That's been happening to me as well and it's only been happening on this site (doesn't happen on IGN, Gamefaqs and Reddit just to name a few). Quiet frankly it's starting to piss me off that a website creates lag, it's like really are your servers based in a little cottage in India and are running off a 56k modem?

This seems more like a script causing the issue, not a server/connection problem. It's certainly not a display issue, so you should make a thread about this and make sure to mention your OS and browser version, and the add-ons you're using.
it's good again, but the issues are big and i don't know what you guys are doing on teh site. Any major changes to the CSS?
