politics forum disappear 404 error

the political forum now 404 error when Durham Report Release!! 🤔

The site had enough. Has regected the PG forum from it's body like a botched transplant.

SBAllen AKA the lead admin for GameFAQs stated that Fandom didn’t want political discussions on the websites they owned, hence why 261 is gone over there. Presumably the same thing happened to your board over here? 🤨

Since you're in the process of removing boards how about getting rid of GameSpot Polls, YouTuber/Streamers Unite, GameSpot Giveaways and Mobile Connection? Those places have topics years old on the their front page.

Also add Retro Gaming too as I've seen topics that are a year old and that place is deader than sports bar.

I know most users don't like YouTuber/Streamers Unit but it is a safe heaven for spammers to go and if it's gone, most places will be flooded with spammers and I can't be everywhere to mod. Just my take on that but I'll leave the rest to the staff.

Would condense the forums, but certaintly wouldn't just delete politics. And def don't want it in off-topic again, as even fairly inactive, pretty chill section. It's the reason it was moved in the first place.

The design. Right now as I type this, 30% - 40% of my screen space is nothing.

The smaller, circle avatars. The 3mb limit gif when their is about what? 15-20 active users. Posting pictures, quotes or most basic stuff now a huge pain in the ass.

And now this weird ass stuff (which I hope (though it would be really funny) has nothing to do with Trump.

IMO what i'd do is something like Neogaf, heavily condense it down to 4-5 sections, while keeping politics its own section.

At the moment, the community isn't big enough for the scattershot sections.

Not going to lie, was reading Durham report, pretty much slams the FBI and exonerated Trump, and immediately thought "I'm going to check PG to see what people are saying" and the forum gets straight up deleted lol

My view is that the trans talk was the bullet that killed PG.

Its their only active forum. Why would they delete it? If they do, i will be forced to create a resetera account AND, and this is a hard one, be less unhinged on their forums.

Wow. I think you guys will have officially killed the last of this forums. The website is a horrible shell of it's glory days before it was bought out (what is now......14-15 years ago?) and the site was revamped into the crap that it is today.

I stop in to laugh at the retarded posts that people make in the political folder, guess that's it for me. I've been visiting this site for almost 2 decades now. I don't post much simply because the purchase of this site, consolidation of forums years ago, removal of interesting aspects of the site such as Soapbox, Unions, an in depth rating system, ability to easily build a list of your games, follow games and so on (not the crappy stacks that don't work correctly in the current site) and so many more features that were dumped - folks were promised these things would come back, but had to built up due to the revamp of the site and they never happened.

Folks left in droves once the forums were sacked and topics combined. The PC hardware topics was a happening place, lots of people posting news info, updates to things, links to other hardware sites with reviews/benchmarks and game reviews were top notch.

Well, that's about it folks. Hopefully you guys and gals that stick around find enough to chat about, but with topics being pulled from the forums that's strictly for politics, the rest of the forums will be swamped with political posts and the bickering will no longer be isolated to one area.

I'm missing PG today :(

I know I slowed way down in my responses on that forum, but I still liked that place and you guys.

I mean....are we barred from discussing politics in OT?

They got rid of PG but I don't recall there being a "no politics allowed" disclaimer.
