Gamespots website. I really like the look of gamespot, have used it for years and years. Its got a much better looking front page, easy to see the news and all that stuff.

But it seems like most of the games nowdays force you to log into gamefaqs to post. Is this something that is just here to stay? Are we going to have to just use gamespot for news, and gamefaqs for the fourms? Was so much easier when we were able to use Gamespot for both.

All games have their own GameSpot board, as well as read-only access to the GameFAQs boards.

If you want to post in the GameFAQs threads, you'll have to use GameFAQs. They've split from GameSpot for business reasons (they can actually develop their boards now, without causing issues on the GameSpot side), and that's unlikely to change again.

That's how I do things - I use GF for game specific forums and GS for everything else, so the demerging of GF and GS on the game specific boards hasn't really affected me. As dab said, this is probably how it's going to be for now on. Only hope would be for GS to expand its game specific forums and foster the growth of its community for them, which is growing but at a slow rate.

I use Gamespot for the general forums. Since the split I've been using Gamefaqs for the game-specific boards, for the sole reason that the communities for the game specific boards there are much more active than the ones on Gamespot.
