Over at Amazon today they have the 360 camera on sale for $25.  I've got the eye-toy, and that made for a pretty good party game, actually a very good party game, I even got my parents to play it when they visited.  I also noticed in the new MLB 07  The Show you can face map yourself in game (something that Nintendo shied away from with linking the GB camera -- Golden Eye originally had a feature that you could use to face map, but took it out when they feared the bad PR of some TV journo face mapping the president's face onto a character and shooting it).

Back to the subject. I have not heard of any interesting uses of the 360 camera.  I mean, what does it do?  I have never been one to buy any and all peripherals, but $25 seems okay if I can come up with one application for it.

15 games on live arcade use it. 1 game (totem ball) requires it. I'd pay $25 but not $40. you can also use it to make a new 360 dashboard or your friends only gamerpic.

I bought it to face map a picture of myself into Rainbow Six.  It didn't work very well and could never seem to take the picture right.

I thought it would be fun to take my own game pictures but the image always came out to small, grainy, or out of focus.

I thought I could take pictures with it or record video to save on the hard drive.  Unless I'm missing something you can't do that.

It's useless.

If you arean XBLA player, and like to communicate with players with your camera, then yeah get it. 25 bucks is a bargain price if you want it and plan on using it. 40, the normal price, is not.

Otherwise, It might not be so tempting getting it now.
