The possibility of going back to school full time (and taking a hefty salary cut) is what has caused me to take pause.
That and the ridiculously cheap prices for current gen games that are liekly to be coming once the next generation of hardware is released. As people trade in their XBox/PS2/GC and a certain # of games for cheap prices on new consoles, those old games will be cheaper and cheaper. Can't wait!
THe gas prices bolw, but i'm sitting in a nice jog, and my company vheicle has it's gass paid for so it'snot much of a problem for me at the moment. But that's subject to change.propyro
Yeah, these gas prices are a huge problem! I can't believe it is now above $3 a gallon!usagi704It's worse in canada, it's about $1.20 a liter, and there's about 3.5 liters in a gallon. It's seriously getting out of hand, i have to start leaving at night to go fill up my tank and hope that i find cheap gas. Hey, your in med school? Cool, what are you studying? I'm looking into signing up for a EMS program at my college when i go back next year.

I'm in the middle of applying to med school. I'll hopefully start next fall at Case Western Reserve or Ohio State (both near where I live now in Cleveland). I'm planning to do either pediatrics, neurology, or oncology. My girlfriend just started her first year of med school. She plans on going for pediatrics.
I've also just started training to be an EMT for the year at my local college. So far all we've done is get certified for CPR, but the class is really interesting and very rewarding. I'd highly recommend it. Feel free to PM me if you want to hear more about it.
Sorry for getting a bit off topic by the way.
EDIT: On a more related note, I can't wait to get my Prius. 50 MPG (as opposed to the 17 I get now), and it only costs about $20 to fill up the tank (which you only have to do about half as many times with a Hybrid)
Nope. Such is the wonder of the car pool.
Also, Gamestop is a (free) subway stop away, so I always ditch the car to go there. It's quicker and the ride is air conditioned (unlike my 1992 saturn).
Hey Fish, you're applying to safeties, too right? Saved me a lot of anxiety.

Oh I'm definitely applying to safety schools. I'm applying to every med school in Ohio (6), every med school in Pennsylvania (5), everywhere in Boston except Harvard, a few places in Chicago, and George Washington in D.C. (I did my undergrad at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore). These days you can't be too safe when applying to med school. Or law school for that matter.
Cleveland doesn't have a subway system, and it's usually about a 10-15 min drive to the nearest EB, Gamestop, or Best Buy

Yea, that whole fear of large counterfeit bills is pretty bogus, there's been cases where even banks refused to take 100's and at this point it's absolutely ridiculous, they should have counterfeit detection methods in place so that this is at least not an issue at the bank.propyro
