I like any music I relate to, as of yet no rap songs in there...... sorry that I don't relate to pimpin my b!tches and poppin caps in my *****s asses
I mostly like rock, metal, grunge, punk, a little bit of classic rock and some techno all mostly from late 80s early 90's and today I also like my own music that I write and a lot of unknown bands mostly local a few canadian locals like Ruths Hat and of course my good friends in Heather Hates You I don't like the Dropkick Murphies that much but I know them in person.....
I just thought of a question for the Canadians: Have you ever heard of a band called Prozzak? They're an offshoot of another band called the Philosopher Kings and only have one CD available in the US under the name Simon & Milo (I guess Prozzak was deemed too insensitive?).
Anyway, I can't find their CDs anywhere and I love them. For some reason, I'm addicted to their songs. It's like mind-numbing peppy pop and I love it. I own their first CD, Hot Show, and I want their second, Saturday People, but I can't find it anywhere. Do they have any others?
EDIT: If you don't know them by name, you'll recognize their music videos. They're all cartoons of a big burly blonde guy and his friend with no neck who's always lamenting lost love. Hilarity insues.
Yes, at one point they were one of my favorite groups. I had hot show and Saturday people, not bad albums if you like that stuff. By the dway DR Fish, if you like pop because it's catchy, try checking out Jpop and Jrock ... modern Japanese music is catchy to the point that it's like drugs for your ears.I just thought of a question for the Canadians: Have you ever heard of a band called Prozzak? I pretty much listen to all kinds of music. It just depends on my mood. We have launchcast radio at work, which is through yahoo, and you can listen to any genre and mood that you'd like.
I tend to lean towards bands that combine genres.
My favorites are 311, Zebrahead, and Reel Big Fish.
I've never seen anyone else who knew about zebraheadwaflerevolution
A fellow Zebrahead fan?
I've been there from the beginning.
They put on a pretty fun concert.
Haha! You're a Star Trek fan? I love that show. Damn UPN for cancelling it and damn Paramount for not selling it to Spike TV when they asked for it.
I'm definitely going to the concert. I love video game music, and I'm sure they'll have tons of extra collector's treasures for sale there. Hopefully some import CDs. Besides, it's a nice night out for my girlfriend and I.
fwiw, zebrahead are pretty popular. get back and playmate of the year were in heavy rotation on modern rock stations. good band.
Here's a little bit of the modern stuff in my CD. Besides this stuff, I love classical music, irish traditional, and showtunes. Plus, I play mean 12 bar.
afi, slayer, tori amos, fear factory, sarah mclaclan, nirvana, rancid, us bombs, d gen, jesse malin, bad religion, pennywise, todd snider, dispatch, o.a.r., garbage (they broke up!), christian death, 2pac, fischerspooner, scissor sisters, the misfits, alkaline trio, wu-tang, ODB, trick daddy, DMX, dropkick murphys, flogging molly, the pogues, shane mcgowan.
I was voulenteering at a star trek convention and i was at the "dance" and the DJ decided to play a remixed version of the SMB soundtrack ... watching the people on the dance floor try to dance to it physically hurt me.
Trekkies and dancing? Sweet Jesus, what a bad idea.
dropkick murphys, flogging mollyguinness4lifeI saw flogging molly live, they performed with Throw Rag in a small club, both bands kicked ass and put up an awesome live performance. One of these day's I'll get to see the DKM's, my sister is also hell bent on going to one of their shows.

Yeah, I've been meaning to see FM, but the last time they were around here it was the warped tour. I hate kids, so I took a pass. Hopefully they'll play a decent bar in the area soon. DKM put on a good show. I wish I saw them with the vocalist before al barr though. I liked him better.
