Anyone know any good tips for removing stickers and price tags? I have used a little lighter fluid in the past and have had decent luck with nail polish remover. I hate buying games from EB/Gamestop because they ruin the cases. Sometimes I'm forced to and haven't found a good way to remove all those stickers.

lots of googone, you can always say "I'll reserve a game if you give me some non-stickered blank cases" that'll usually work

I've found that they now use yellow stickers which come right off, but for the white ones, I peel them off carefully and then remove the rest with a ear cleaner and Goo Gone.
If applied directly to it, sure. It has the same appearance and feel of vegetable oil. If applied to plastic, once it dries there is no detectable residue.
Goo gone is great for plastic things, but for cardboard boxes, it's really better to leave the sticker on unless you can take it completely off without damaging the box.
Most adhesives are best removed with the same adhesive. I usually take off price tags very slowly, leaving only a small amount of residue, and then use the tag to remove the rest, even from cardboard. When I say slowly, I mean that taking a price tag from a cardboard box can take 1-2 minutes depending upon the age of the sticker. I usually don't "pull" the sticker off so much as let gravity pull the box away from the tag, whose corner I have pinched bwtween my fingers. I've damaged very few boxes using this technique.
Worse than price tags are the seals on games such as Odama, where the box is sealed with something like packing tape, usually at the edge of the cardboard and on a folded corner. It can be difficult to remove those stickers without damaging the paint job, but it's best to go "against the grain" or starting from the box side and moving to the edge, otherwise you can get the cardboard to delaminate easily. This happened to me yesterday with the Tekken 5 bundle I bought. Taking the packing tape off of the box removed a small piece of the paint. The tape was a little stiff from age, and it tore the box edge easier than I was especting, even coming from the box side, rather than from the edge side.
