I see $25 for a cart-only Super Metroid and I get a bit squeamish. jollyroger78
I paid $130 for the Ace Combat 5 collectors box... (Steel Battalion cost me $80+shipping, Suikoden II was free, DBGT:FB cost me $65 for a brand new copy, my cart only Super Metroid was $2)
all worth it except DBGT:FB... crappy game.

I paid $75 for a new and sealed copy of Double Dragon 2 for NES. Probably more than its worth but I got it for a tenth birthday present way back so I was high on nostalgia.
$70 for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for PS2 (disc only :().Â
Hell yes it was worth it. I've played the crap out of that game since getting it seeing how I was jonesing to relive my glory days at the arcade.
Someday if I'm lucky I'll come across the box/manual on the cheap to make it a complete copy, but for now I'm content to have the part that really matters.
I can't justify to myself paying more for a game then the MSRP; hence the most expensive game Ive purchased is one of a number of PS2/Xbox collector editions for $60. Not to say I haven't been tempted to buy radiant silvergun or an AES with some games but I have fought off the urge (even though some part of me is jealous of those who have gone for the gaming gold).
However, I too try to bargain bin dive as much as possible, especially no with all the Xbox/PS2/GC games going for virtually nothing at EB/GS. Within the past 6 months I think Ive only spent above $12 for a console game 2x (Okami and FF XII). I have been viewing everything that costs more than $9.99 as expensive. My word of advice to everyone is plunder these bins right now for all that they are worth.

Ya, I have gotten semiburned by this. I waited and waited to get eternal darkness, now that I want it I cant find it anywhere. I know I could easily get it online, but I try to buy games that wont be shipped to the house. Its easier to downplay my spending habbits to my wife that way (haha, Ive been known to go overboard with things and the purchase of a new TV has not left me much room to argue increasing my spending). I also buy DS games new since I have learned that many EB/GS wont keep the boxes for the used DS games.

I find that generally isn't the case with the two Babbages/EB Games stores in my area. All of my domestic DS games are used and were complete. The first domestic DS game I will buy new is going to be Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.

Babbage's?!? Are you just going old-school here, or are your local stores still actually called "Babbages"?Â
Maybe they never got the memo.
Or maybe they just didn't want to bother paying for a new sign. :P

No, I'm not kidding! There are two stores from the EB/GS chain in my area, one is EB Games, the other still has the sign unchanged and it is Babbage's! I doubt there is anything in the actual store that has that name on it anymore, but the sign is still Babbage's.[quote="Working_Stiff"]I also buy DS games new since I have learned that many EB/GS wont keep the boxes for the used DS games.usagi704Really? Ya, its wierd/odd/ annoying. I purchased the first Castlevania game used at GS and they looked at the case when I brought it and said "hmm, this should have been in the trash"-not kidding- then thought about it for a second, shrugged their shoulders, and gave me the case.
It was worth it, though. Ogre Battle 64 was by far the best game in that series. Better than anythign Square Enix crapped out in that time period ;) IMO, of course...
