It has started now, after a safety car start. Vettel is doing well since he has no spray in his way. Hamitlon overtook Raikkonen, but had to cut the chicane! He gave the place back though, and made sure he done it 'right' this time.

Should be a long race for the drivers, but hopefully an eventful one for us.

Amazing win for Vettel, and somehow Hamilton managed to remain in front of Massa in the championship. And as for Raikkonen? His season is over for sure.

It's quite refreshing. I love seeing new people on the podium.

And it makes the 2nd time this year too!

...then again, it's more impressive here with Vettel in a Toro Rosso as the Kubica/BMW package was pretty strong at the time.

Yeah, I am hoping BMW can build on this grand prix and season in general as they seem to have the right people and the drivers and the car is getting better, a 3 way title race would be nice to have next year.

Can I just say that I'm sat here, about 15 hours since the race, and I'm still having to pinch myself. A Toro Rosso, that used to be a MINARDI, just took pole AND won, completely owning a McLAREN!?!

Seriously, I can't be alive. This really didn't happen, did it?

It was an amazing race. And pretty tame considering the weather.

Great to see Vettel up there, and so appreciative and enjoying the moment. Not that the others don't but the first win is something magnificent. Especially for that team. Quite the underdog story.

And somehow Kovalainen seems to have done worse than 2nd. I thought he did fine but expectations are so high for the Mercs that it seemed like they were embarrassed to lose, despite starting from P2, to a non-factory team.

Such a shame that Sea Bass (Bourdais) had to flounder in the rear after getting the raw end of the deal at the start. Geez I live on a tiny island, I should be able to come up with more fish references than that...

Hoorah for Vettel! Think he can win 90 more?

Really, it was Hokkie in the McLaren, not Jesus. The number 2. NULL He who shalt play like Matt Cassel, whenever Tom Brady is injured. The guy who signed his life away to complete and total servitude. Whoever was in the other Ferrari the last decade. Sorry Kovi. But no need for piss pants astonishment. Oh wait...

I can see what you mean but number 2 is not allways the fall guy car, think back to the McLaren team of the 80's or Williams in the mid 90's with Hill/Vielnurve or even now with Massa and Riokonen both in a title race (well they were a couple of races ago anyway).

Whilst it didn't feel like it, think of just last year. Technically, it was Ferrari's no. 2 driver that won the Championship.

Yeah but Kovalainen is only average in a great car. He is certainly the worst driver in the Big Two ( McLaren and Ferrari, I hope that goes without saying ever again ). And the other Finn, Sara, as I now call him, was only number two on a technicality. In that case, the numbers didn't matter. But Kovi is what he is, certainly not the worst driver on the grid this year, hello Kazu, but very worthy of number two. He didn't preform last year, he was in a Renault though, and this year is just as bad.

And anyways, when Jesus is number one, there is no way you can be anything but number two, the fall guy.
