I think he also has the record for the longest wait before a Pole. Ya even with that drive through, it all worked out for him to still get victory. Today was definitely his day.

I can agree with the stewards decision on the Sutil/Ferrari incident. Great show from Webber. Did find another stream in the end but the sound failed with 15 laps left :(

I watched the last 15 laps in Spanish or Portuguese. Take that Fox/Speed.

28 years of painful waiting finally over...

Webber, on his way to victory, has broken (I believe) two records. For certain, he has broken Barrichello's record for longest wait before a GP win (Rubens was 123, Webber did it on his 130th race). From my understanding as well, Webber becomes the first driver to win a GP despite a drive-through penalty.

Sorry to have to correct you but he isn't the first driver to win despite a drive through penalty, according to this article the last time a driver won a race despite being given a penalty was Michael Schumacher at Magny-Cours in 2002

Well I stand corrected, I wasn't sure about it either way.

Interesting to note in that race, Massa crossed the white line and was given a stop/go penalty, whereas when Schumacher did it, he was only given a drive-through...

Here is a link to Ted Kravitz view on the German Grand Prix from the pit lane. There are some very interesting bits in there and is well worth a read.

Just to let you know, the BBC has already announced that next weekend's cIassic races will be those from 1986, 1988, 1989, 1997 and 2006. Thank god they put the latter in!
