Toro Rosso co-owner Gerhard Berger has categorically denied speculation that Ferrari could snatch Sebastian Vettel away from his team.

After the young German's impressive start to 2008, the Italian press suggested that Vettel could take Felipe Massa's Ferrari seat next season.

But in Malaysia all parties involved dismissed the rumours.

When asked by ITV Sport's Louise Goodman if there was any truth in the reports, Berger said they were: "completely bull****".

He insisted that Vettel will remain within the Red Bull fold for the duration of his three-year contract.

"He's going to stay with Toro Rosso; he's happy here," Berger said.

"He's going to stay with Red Bull the next three years - so forget it (the rumours)."

Berger added that Vettel was already proving to be a real asset to Toro Rosso, having earned the team's first dry weather top ten start in Australia and then impressed again in Sepang practice, although the race proved less fruitful.

"He's a great driver and a very nice kid - good brain, good speed, good package," he said.

Massa was also dismissive when asked whether Vettel was a threat to his position at Ferrari.

"I have a three-year contract, so I am very comfortable in the team," he said.

He's only had 10 races... but he has shone with practically EVERY chance he's had. Indeed, he's not a Ferrari potential yet, but there's no doubt in the not-too-distant future he could so easily be. I can see people having a lot of interest in him when he's free from his contract though, many teams will want to snap him up.

Well, not really, Massa was contracted to Ferrari as soon as he came into the sport, he was then subcontracted to race for Sauber (they were using Ferrari engines) Vettel is sponsered by Red Bull, WAS contracted to BMW whether he still is I'm not sure, I really rate Vettel he's got a good head on him and he is a great racer, Massa however has has two spins in two races two ROOKIE mistakes in two races. He isn't looking good right now.

The interesting thing to point out here is - these are the first two races that Massa has done in F1 without TC. Maybe when he had pressure in the past he could rely on the TC? We'll never know for certain, but so far it seems so. He'll get used to racing properly without it soon enough though.

I think vettel has gretat potential as a driver, but if he went to Ferrari, i feel his talent would be wasted, money would just get his attention and for a driver of his calibre, i feel he needs a team which can nurture his talents E.G McLaren or Williams.
