Mmmmm ... Can anyone else smell that?, smells like ... Success!
Mmmmm ... Can anyone else smell that?, smells like ... Success! :lol:69ANT69
I can't, no :(
However, I have finally got round to making my Championship-Winning prize for last year - I swear, whoever wins it this year will not have to wait as long!
MONACO UPDATE:
Thanks to XSamFisherX making me aware of this, but the scores were done on the basis Webber had scored the fastest lap - it turns out he hadn't, and it was in fact Vettel. Therefore, the following players have scored an extra three points to their total:
Bigcol1611
wombat26
nravasi
darkad1
Whereas the following players have lost three points to their total:
69ANT69
kingdre
Racky_rules
The main change this makes is that wombat26 is the sole winner of the Monaco GP. The only change in the main table is darkad1 jumps kipi19 to 20th place.
Good to know I helped some. Too bad I wasn't a beneficiary. We must be more vigilant or Redders will nickel and dime his way into the lead.XSamFisherX
In all fairness, you actually helped me close in on 69ANT69.
Apologies for the wait people - been a busy day yesterday, scores will be up soon!
(Or am I hiding from the inevitable fact my score will bomb? :()
TURKISH GP RESULTS
Thanks to the Red Bulls, virtually everyone lost out. McLaren also made fools of us... unless you happen to be SadPSPAddict or Bigcol1611, that is. Sticking with the silver machines meant they easily topped the tables by a comfortable margin, and making SadPSPAddict the 7th different winner from 7 races. If Redders1989 stuck to his original four teams and drivers, he'd have scored 30 points more and be third. Instead, his change of predictions means, for the first time ever, the defending champion comes last of all.
Despite the bombing scores for the majority, wombat26 remains in the lead, but 69ANT69 makes the most of the carnage to leapfrog KimisApprentice in to 2nd. A high score can only help SadPSPAddict move up just one place, against Redders1989, who has still yet to remain in the same place in the overall championship for two consecutive races. Racky_rules makes it in to the top 10, and Bigcol1611's score helps him jump three places to 11th - the biggest mover of the weekend.
Bonus :D - and here's a little "extra" prediction for you all........for Canada almost everyone will be picking Red Bull and McLaren instead of Red Bull and Ferrari :lol:SadPSPAddictI havent pick ferrari this season, and probably never will!!
Go McLaren!!! :P
CANADIAN GP RESULTS
A near flawless prediction sees Redders1989 avenge his first ever last place in Turkey to win his first race of the 2010 season. Only his prediction for fastest practice lap and 3rd place were incorrect - if he'd have got those correct, he'd have scored the full 39 points for the final 6 sections.
wombat26 extends his lead in the championship to 18.5 points, but with such an incredible winning margin, Redders1989 rocks the table and soars up to 2nd place - pushing 69ANT69 to 3rd, KimisApprentice to 4th and SadPSPAddict to 5th. As of yet, the defending champion has still yet to remain in the same position in the standings for two consecutive races. tony205 climbs to 6th, but needs to find a way to close the deficit of 61 points to 5th. mavediss also makes a three place leap in to 10th place, and Bigcol1611 also climbs two places for 9th. As a result, both kingdre and Racky_rules are pushed out of the top 10.
Ya know, I actually wanted to pick Hammy for FPL as well. Admittedly I wasn't gonna go for Alonso 3rd, mind.
Still, 'bout time I finally won a darned race! Hopefully now I can start to push wombat for the lead!
EUROPEAN GP RESULTS
As we near the half-way point, we still await the first double-winner. Bigcol1611 wins the European GP where choosing Kobayashi made all the difference. The Webber/Kovalainen crash shook up the entire race and, as a result, Bigcol1611 and mavediss become the first people this year to score over 100 points in a single race.
wombat26 remains in the lead of the title race, but loses 4 points of his lead from 69ANT69, who once again jumps to 2nd place - but only just holding on to it, as KimisApprentice moves up to 3rd, just half a point behind. Redders1989 loses out and slips back to 4th. Despite the high scores, both Bigcol1611 and mavediss could only move up one place each. Racky_rules' score allows him to move up two places to 12th.
With the way the races are going, KA or Racky surely have to be next for a race win.
I love the fact it's so open at the top - heck, the top 4 are covered by only 24.5 points!
BRITISH GP RESULTS
Well looky looky here - another new winner for 2010. tony205 becomes the 10th winner of a race in 10 races so far for the '10 season. Do we even have nine other people who can win?
It's no change at the top, as wombat26 extends his championship lead to 25 points over new 2nd place KimisApprentice. Redders1989 continues his game of snakes and ladders, climbing to 3rd, and 69ANT69 is stung yet again by the Ferrari curse and drops to 4th. XSamFisherX takes an almighty drop to 10th from 6th, which benefits tony205, Bigcol1611, mavediss and mjk1.
[QUOTE="Redders1989"]German Grand Prix predictions to be done when the official results are known.69ANT69They are known, Ferrari won! :P
Until the WMSC says so, they remain provisional to me. I don't want to be repeating Australia '09, where I had to re-calculate the scores twice, I'd rather do it once.

Surely you just pump it through a spreadsheet - anyway the WMSC isn't meeting until after the next race so........

I've had someone attempt to create me a spreadsheet formula which can work, but alas it's proven incredibly difficult, so I have to do it all by brain and calculator. I do my best to ensure no mistakes creep in, and since doing the game there's only been three, all of which were rectified.
[QUOTE="tony205"]Excellent! My first victory!SadPSPAddict
Delayed reaction
In all fairness, he was on holiday - he PM'ed me his predictions before he left, so he might've only just got back to find he is a WINNARRRRRRR!

You're right.
@tony205 - let you off this time then
HUNGARIAN GP RESULTS:
wombat26 becomes the second person to win two races this season. Kobayashi proved to be the winning formula, providing all those who chose him with a nice big 45 points.
As a result of winning, wombat26 increses his lead - only slightly - by an extra two points to 27 points to KimisApprentice. Despite closing in, 69ANT69 is unable to take 3rd from Redders1989 as the top 5 remain unchanged. mjk1 becomes the big winner from the weekend though, jumping three places to 6th. sambob530 climbs up to 15th, and Garfield360UK joins the championship in 21st place.
Cool, hopefully I can get some more points on the board. I made a mistake picking HRT over Virgin and then saying Virgin would be the worst team :?
BELGIAN GP RESULTS:
After so many races where different people would win, wombat26 takes a second win in-a-row to take his tally up to three race wins this season, with a near perfect prediction. Incredibly, choosing Alonso/Ferrari scored absolutely no points at all, and the best constructor was Renault!
So with that win, wombat26 extends his lead quite considerably to 65.5 points from KimisApprentice. SadPSPAddict jumps 69ANT69 to 4th, and mavediss has the biggest climb of the weekend, moving 4 places up to 6th. Only 6 races to go - BUT before we reach the Italian GP, we will have the results of the German GP confirmed - who will walk out a winner there?
