No. They try top make him come across as a strong silent type. They failed. He was the 'boring, undeveloped type.' "..." does not count as talkingHe whines though, which is why he is emo. Tidus was anything but happy go lucky. Want that? Play FFIX. Zidane was cool. He showed emotion without being emo. He also had a positive outlook on life.
Well I just played the first 2 hours of FFVII and so far Cloud has done more talking than any other character in the game so I have no idea what the HELL you are smoking. Cloud is not a "strong silent type" at all. He is self-absorbed, cold and cocky at the beginning of the game and actually talks quite a bit. Obviously he personality changes through the game though.
And Tidus is happy-go-lucky for the majority of the game, obviously not in certain emotional scenes, but he is all the way up until he learns about what will happen to Yuna at the end. You clearly didn't follow X's storyline very well since Tidus is one Yuna's only guardians that stays optimistic throughout the entire game.
He spends a hell of alot of time saying "..." I don't know what the hell you are smoking that made you forget thisTidus is as happy go lucky as van gogh. HE aint. He was whiney the entire game. It is you that didn't pay attention during the story,. IF he wasn't griping about his dad, he was griping about his situation or lord knows what else. The point is that he did that throughout the game and it was annoying as hell and it made him the worst character ever.
I just played the game, I didn't forget anything. I think you may have Squall and Cloud mixed up there with the "..." thing. Cloud talks a lot, you do not know what you are talking about. Go play the first 2 hours again, you are wrong.
And Tidus might be a bad character to you, but he isn't to a lot of people. Every Final Fantasy character has problems, so I guess they are all "the worst characters ever" too.
Squall was worse about it than Cloud. This is true, but Cloud was still an incredibly boring character. I know exactly what I am talking about.Tidus blows

Well, i didn't find Cloud boring. I found him to be quite interesting. I was interested in his past (before finding out they weren't his, and I found the fued between him and Sephiroth was intersting to see throughout the game.
I don't think Tidus blows, and he wasn't pessimistic, he was the one trying to figure out how to save Yuna, And he was the one trying to cheer up Yuna at Luca near the beginning of the game with the laughing, and also he was always by Yuna's side, making her happy, how could a wnihy, "emo" person accomplish that? The only times he was upset was when it involved his father and being in the future, and those are pretty good reasons to be upset, being taken away from home and having to fight and hunt down your family, and he didn't whine about this ALL THE TIME, if he did, if all he did was whine, then how could he have gotten the respect of Yuna, Auron, Kimarhi, Lulu, Wakka, and Rikku, as well as some other characters? I don't see how those aren't good reasons to be upset, nor do I understand why I must repeat this all the time in my posts.
And I'm sure you found XII to 100% perfect, I did not. I did not enjoy much of the music at all, the story got confusingand I didn't care too much for the political plot it had.I wasn't fond of having toconstantly change gambits, and at a point I decided not to use them as much.XII was agreat game, yes, but I didn't think it was perfect, either.
