I liked it, even more than the translated copy I found for the NES.

Wow I honestly was expecting a more negative responses, I personally found it somewhat bland in story and while I did like the graphics for me a JRPG always need a good push to keep me playing and the plot just didn't do it for me.

FFIII was the very first game i bought on my DS 2 years ago. Yeah i loved it, played it to death (finished it 4 times including a freelancer challenge which is the hardest thing i ever did in a FF game).

Well I'm playing it for my first time on the DS now. This is the first FF game I've ever played that have job classes, and it's very tricky... The storyline is okay I suppose...

I haven't finished the game. I only played the NES version to death. I think the DS version is FFIII 2.0.

There are some story changes. The DS version has a more coherent, thought out story with characterization.

Yeah. Story changes are very prominent, especially when SE decided to give more personality to the characters that why I call it FFIII 2.0. It is not just remake. It's a total revision... Taking core elements of FFIII and making a totally new game.

no. hated the magic system. wonder if it was like that in the original game.. and no cgi in the ending.... unless i just cant remember if there was. theres a few other reasons i disliked it but i just can rememebr specifically

LOVED how short dungeons were though. :)

I know one major difference from the old NES version (Famicom?) and the DS. In the NES version, your first job is a Onion Knight, in the DS its the Freelancer and the Onion Knight is obtained by...
