You have never played X have you? He whined. Alot.fs_metal

I've actually completely finished Final Fantasy X from start to finish 3 times doing all sidequests.

There isn't really that much whining. The only parts you can say he is "whining" is the scenes with his dad.

The whole point of the story is how Tidus started out kind of like that and grew up over the course of the game, which is why he has such a serious tone of voice in the games opening introduction.

How you ccould play it through 3 times and totally miss the fact htat he whines alot is far beyond me. I picked that up from the very first time I played it, thus I dislike Tidus.

Tidus didn't grow up. Right to the final confrontation with his dad, he whined. "I....I....I hate you." Yeah. Go cry you emo ****

No. If you constantly whine and refuse to look on the bright side of things, you are emo

So just because someone hates their dad that constitutes them as being emo?

Well I guess since the Returners hated Kefka they must all be emo too, considering they hated him to the very last moments of the game.

He did constantly whine though. He wasn't the happy go luckly character that you people think he was. Quite frankly, I think you guys are thinking of Zidane ofer Tidus. He didn't thine. He was happy. He looked on the brightside. Stillshowed emotion though

Zidane was more happy than Tidus, sure, but that doesn't make Tidus "emo" automatically. Tidus was able to forgive his father at the end of the game, considering the fact that he slapped his father's hand by the end of the game after the last fight. Tidus was trying to get home in the game, you don't think he would? He was optimistic, he was trying hard to save Yuna from her fate, he had to be optimistic to do that.

Tidus was not able to forgive his father. ?The last thing Tidus ever said to his father was "I hate you" which is not forgiving him. HE whined right up to the end. That is what makes Tidus emo. Thnere was no optimism dude.

Actually, at first I didn't think much of it. But as time went on I got into it more. Like in Final Fantasy VII, the love trio as FG called it, I always wanted Aeris and Cloud to fall for one another and possibly even settle down. But then bam! Sephiroth ruins it.

And in Final Fantasy X....Yuna and Tidus. I always hated the fact they fell for each other, because Tidus is an oaf (In my opinion), and Yuna is petite (haha), and dainty (hahaha).

Overall though, I like a good love story in my game. As long as it doesn't get in the way of the main story, or is the main story for that matter.

Yeah, that game was like Barbie with weapons. haha

But yeah, I agree. They did kill her character. In a way her personality was kind of like Paine's. In a small way. lol

yuna was actually my favourite character of the series, but even though she wasnt the same in x-2 they didnt kill her personality. You could always see through her and tell she was the same person and the times you could tell she was the saddest was when she was trying to be happy.

I'm a huge sap for love stories in games, so yeah, a Final Fantasy with a great love story tends to end up being one of my favourites.

i would have never guessed you were a Yuna fan.

but what I didn't about Yuna in X-2 was that she went from some well-cared for and well-respected highsummoner who was vital part to saving Spira to some charlie's Angel-like popstar. :x

One thing people "love" that involved FF is debating Tidus's apparent emo-ness with fs_metal =D

I know what the hell was with that. Yuna turned into Rikku from FFX, and then Rikku turned into like Rikku 2.0 with an advanced case of ADHD.

Dude, thats a really good way of putting it. Although, she looks better than in the first, but they completely screwed up her personality.

though, in all seriousness, I didn't mind her that much (in X at least...)

I can understand that.

she was ALOT more hyper on X-2, which is why I didn't like her that much in X-2. But I was able to tolerate her in X, and had no problems with her in that game.

I somehow managed to tell myself to beat the game, and did. The only reason why I beat the game was to beat every FF in the numbered series...

Yea Rikku couldn't stand still for one second in FFX-2. She was either jumping up and down when something good happened or was swinging her arms for no reason.
