I didn't like it either, probably one of the only final fantasy games I refuse to sit down and play. I keep hearing it's so great, but when I play it I'm immediately turned off. Especially the junctioning and Draw stuff.
I played ff8 with only 3 discs (i lost the 4th before i started playing) - - - - - - I bought action replay to finish FFX at 100%, something goes bad with the memory card compress option... (RIP) =[
It would have to have been listening to my friends while playing FF7. They thought it would be great to tell the gullible new guy that the little red guy in the desert (Ruby) was a new side quest that I was perfectly ready for and the big green guy under water (Emerald) wanted to talk to me and give me a new item. I was at level 45 or so and heftily got smeared into a little puddle...advice...if you're friends have played it before and you have not...don't listen to them :D
the dump thing i did is when i maxed my stats in FFX in the Arena , i used to use all the spheres ( Power, magic, speed and ability).so i used to go to any area and keep fighting monsters until i get 100 of each sphere (that means 100+ fight cause they drop 1 of each normally) and after a hell of time spent , i found out that there is a monster in the arena that drops 40 sphere of one kind every time u kill him. I guess i was just unlucy by founding out WAY too ate

done alot of random things. forgetting to upgrade weapons, forgetting to stock up on items before bosses or dungeons
I have a BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG habit of only using 3 characters, and not bothering with the other ones. So if someone DIES in the storyline, I get screwed.
another thing i hate the most....
SPENDING ALL UR MONEY ON SOME SUPER COOL WEAPON!! ... and you end up getting it free in a treasure chest -____-'
During my first play through of FFX I couldn't beat Yunalesca. I tried it like 30 times then gave up and quit playing. Later that month I was robbed and my PS2 and FFX were gone. When I got my insurance money I bought FFX to start over and get revenge, Now I wish I had continued playing the first time because it's so damn good.

Don't feel bad about trying to beat Yunalesca. I screwed up soooo many times the first time I played it. And that's horrible about you stuff being taken :( it's not dumb at all because you had no idea that was going to happen.
The dumbest thing i've ever done in a FF was in FFVIII when I used an Amnesia Green to erase my Diablo's Enc-Half before I had Enc-None, thus making it impossible for me to get Enc-None and that really hurt for when I wanted to go on the Island's Closest to Heaven and Hell for easy access to the Draw points like Ultima and what not.
Okay... In FFXII i got the nethecite thingy that I can equip to myself, and only read the + side to it. I used up all my echo herbs, remedies, and other stuff, because the item gave me "Silence" (which is a disease in which u can't use any magic based spells or techniques), and I didn't know it. I kept buying more and more items, and wasted about 5,000 gil just to cure that 1 sickness, and then I found out that all I had to do was take the item off. I know... I'm an idiot.

OMG, i had the same problem tooo, i was like "wat the hell, do i have to get a license to be healed from silence????!!!!" and then 6 hours later i was changing equipment i found out that the nethicite causes silence, luckily i only lost 500 gil
FFXII, i attacked the dinosaur just outside rabanastre, using quickening. Then i diedzero_cool098
i also died on that one during my first game. i know he was harmless so i didnt attack him at first but when i started casting fire on the wolves, it suddenlt became active. It chased me up to the entrance in Rabanastre but i didnt made it out alive.

Tsk! You people should remember FFVIII! I mean, come on, that dino could easily be related to the dino in FFVIII in the training center ;) My dumbest mistake would probably be training to level 99. So much time wasted and the boss wasn't even challeging! :cry:

OHHH....I made the mistake of casting a spell near an elemental the other day when I hadn't saved for about 3 hours................I was SOOOOOO pissed when I got killed. :(
lol yes, I know the feeling. In other FF's, elementals weren't the death-ball they are now....So the first time I saw one I thought I'd give it a shot and attack one. 5 seconds later I'm running for my life and trying to keep my characters alive. BIG mistake.

oh god.....hmm.......well. I tend to do this a lot when I play FF games for the first time. I'll forget what I'm doing. And then get stuck because I forgot....it's very sad. Amnesiac23

Nowadays I take notes because I'll get distracted in a hidden area or just leveling up, or eating...Another dumb thing is thinking that Tonberry is just a harmless thing that Square put in just to mess with you. I've never done it, but I've heard some stories of people just sitting around and waiting for him to poof and turn into an item or something, and then he goes and stabs them in the stomache.
okay guys, so get this. YESTERDAY, i was playing FFXII. me Vaan fell asleep, and i had plenty of alarm clocks to wake him up with. but instead of doing that, i used my strongest character, Basch, to attack him to wake him up, just to see what would happen. My vaan has over 3K HP... so basch attacks him with the icebreand, my current strongest weapon after the axes.... he deals a whopping 1.6K... and then he COMBOS it!!! For TWO MORE HITS! now that's waht i call pwnage XD
