Wow, im so hyped for this game, its almost pathetic :D Thx for the video, I was really curious about how it plays.
Btw,were you talking about Cloud when you said EX-Soldier ? Because I think I didn't see him...or were you referring to Sephiroth ?
NWA_31
Yeah. I was talking about Sephiroth.
I'm not sure I got what you said [QUOTE="Rizhall456"]brb need to change pantsShekbLOL
I believe fs-metal said that Sephiroth can f$*%-off. I personally would want him in the game, as much as any other FF character, but I might not get the game, anyways, so I don't care that much.

Wow, Im extremely impressed by that! Zidane and Kuja look amazing, I too am also really hyped for this game, any FF with a PSP is gonna get their monies worth me thinks eventually!
Sadly, I don't have PSP, so no Dissidia for meShekb
Same here, I've thought about getting a PSP, but currently I don't have that much money to get one.
[QUOTE="zero_cool098"]i still dont get how it plays....is this an action rpgfs_metalNo. It is a fighting game
Looks like a progressive fighter too me. Not entirely something one on one. I could be wrong. Square Enix didn't call it a fighting game. I'm not sure if the 12 heroes and 12 villains from Final Fantasy will appear in so form or another. From what I read there will be a selected bunch from the franchise. They made it sound like the FF heroes are trying to stop some evil plot by the FF villains. Haha. When stuff like this happens I always think of the X-Men, F4, Avengers(east and west), and whoever vs Onslaught. Or perhaps Marvel's Pro and Anti-Registration. NO! The new DC event with the Injustice League vs the Justice League. rofl
No. It is a fighting game[QUOTE="fs_metal"][QUOTE="zero_cool098"]i still dont get how it plays....is this an action rpgNWA_31
But it seems to have RPG elements. There are levels in Dissidia
I don't think they would make a strait up fighting game again anyway. They know its a bad idea. Also...I really don't want Sephiroth in there. But of COURSE they have to put him in there
Why ? You dont like Sephiroth ?
NWA_31
lol don't like...yeah...those are some good words for it. I can't stand him as a villian. He reminded me of a child not getting his way.
That's the nice way of putting it. Sephrioth is a wanna be goth. Too many people like him just because of his sword. An extra long katana. What's so special about that? He probably cuts himself with it while listening to My Dying Bride. He is also a freaking mommas boy. It's PATHETIC. Ontop of that, he does virtually NOTHING throughout the entire game. He burned one village and killed one person. Why does that make him great? Do you know how many people Kefka killed? Including 2 important characters? Oh and Ex Death killed a main character. Ontop of thos, his fanbase constantly griping about his supposed greatness is annoying, to say the least. Why ? You dont like Sephiroth ?

I agree with pretty much everything you said there. Kefka was a REAL villian. He killed people, sephiroth is a goody two shoes compared :P

But Sephiroth was going to destroy the whole world in one shot...

But Sephiroth was going to destroy the whole world in one shot...
Kefka DID destroy the world. Beat that.Sephiroth never wanted to destroy the Planet, but to simply wound it. He would sit at the center of the wound where the Lifestream would gather in order to repair it. There he could gain devine power and emerge as a god. He planned to recreate life in his own image. When Sephiroth entered the Lifestream the first time, the truth about what he believed in was finally revealed(which I never knew). When Jenova planned to use Sephiroth for it's own bidding he turned against it. The use of "Mother" after Sephiroth killed President Shinra is a dead metaphor. And he never relates himself to the Cetra from that point on. Goth or "emo" could be name calling on the internet I guess. I would consider Sephiroth "emotional". Sephiroth was always a man of a few words. But many do not realize that his past relationships with others reflected on his decision. Sephiroth wanted to become a divine power because he believed he was more then a monster. Only one person has ever influenced Sephiroth - Angeal Hewley, who said that no matter what you become you should always have dreams and aspirations.
Kuja was evil, but he did realize the wrong he did in the end. What made Kuja interesting is how he communicated with others; I thought that was brillant. Kuja pretty much had hate induced into him; being around Garland for most of his life. Even though he formed his own idea apart from Garland his jealousy influenced his actions against Zidane. I wouldn't just say he was trying to destroy life as we know it but also make a point.
Kefka had a shallow soul, and really expressed no other interest then killing period. He was just your usual murderer on a larger scale with magic. Not saying his agenda wasn't simple especially with others trying to stop you. He became God-like and almost like all villains in this case, he felt that the life of human's had no meaning. It's the end the world as we know it. The heroes try to convince him but they simply can't. One last battle must be fought; you get the picture. Whatever evil possessed Kefka is more deadly then it's person.
Sephiroth and Kuja wantedto be more then what they were created for. Sephiroth was influenced by his past, and with protocol holding over Kuja he wanted to desperately break it. Some how world domination or destruction evolves from that. As for Kefka he simply wanted to dominate others. But what makes me laugh is that once he gains the power he's like...."f&ck this sh!t; kill them all".
I liked both Kefka and Sephiroth, and thought they were similar in some ways. Both were crazy, and really only cared about themselves, both wanted to do major damage to their planets, both killed a couple of important characters in the game plus other innocent lives, and both became "angels" when you fought them and had pretty awesome music!
And Kuja was pretty good, as well, with the way he spoke and his attitude. He also had some nice music when you fought him.
[QUOTE="aerisISalive"]Ultimecia is the coolest! :DAmnesiac23
True true, another great villian :P
Garland's still the best.Ultimecia. Hehe. That's a first. I remember whenI first played through Final Fantasy VIII. The game didn't really focus on the main villain directly. So by the time you know who you're fighting; you might say.."what the hell is a Ultimecia"? lolNeoGen85lol you're right about that one. When I think about it though, Ultimecia really might be my favorite villain. The name is awesome, all of the forms are awesome, it's a pretty tough battle, and you get cool time travel stuff when you win.

I was kinda confused about the whole Edea thing my first time through (hey, I was 8 years old) but now I think it's cool. We should start a topic about who would win in a fight if every FF character was in it and they all had no magic and were at the same level.lol I dont like Garland THAT much. I just gotta represent because he was the first, and there's a city about 10 minutes away from where I live called Garland. Texas owns all other states.aerisISaliveTexas does own all indeed. You must not live too far away from me. The DFW area. Lewisville to be exact.
I have to ask. ARe we talking Garland from FFIX or Garland from FFI
